  1. You're something else. Do you REALLY think he talking about Wuertz and Lieber? Seriosly, go back to WSI where you belong.
  2. Lilly has been pretty much garbage all year. He's had a few spells where he has pitched well but many of his nine wins can be credited to our offense. I'm glad he wont be seeing very much post season work. We will win this game as this looks like a 13-12 type of game today.
  3. Cubs win!!! Oh, and eat it, Marty and Thom Brennaman.
  4. Can the mods change the title of this thread to Marty Brennaman is a Douche? :amen:
  5. I've been a critic of his in the past. However, he turned Matt Murton, a throw in the Nomar deal, into a chip in getting a certified ace. Mike Fontenot was the "other player" in the Sosa deal and Mike's been pretty valuable to this team. We all know about the Aramis and D-Lee trades. Of course, he has had a few duds in free agency (Jacque Jones, Burnitz, Marquis) to name a few. However, he signed guys like DeRo, Edmonds, and Randall Simon in 2003. The guys has two division titles to his credit and is now shooting for the whole ball of wax. kudos, Jim. PS: Jim, go get us Burnett and I'll really be impressed.
  6. Gotta wonder what Lieber's role on this team is. He'd be ideal for the 9th tonight and I wonder if he is going to DFA with the addition of Gaudin.
  7. Yea, they had an off day yesterday, I'm not freaking out about this move. And it worked to perfection.
  8. Marmol is in to keep getting his confidence back. This is a good move by Lou.
  9. Cotts has been lights out lately, but Lou won't put up with walks. He took the ball from Neal and didn't even give him the normal: "pat on the ass" when leaving the mound. That's what I love about Lou, he doesn't tolerate bad performances and his team knows it.
  10. Sneaky power! Seriously, how many HR would Fontenot hit if he played full time?
  11. Yup, which is exactly what I said when it happened. I'm soooo pumped. \:D/
  12. I'll miss SG and I wish him well. He's a good kid with a real future. Matt Murton? Odios, never did anything to warrant some of the love he got. E-patt? Meh, nothing to be upset about there. Lastly, Donaldson was basically traded for Gaudin, I LOVE that. Kudos, JH! I'm going to have a beer and enjoy the evening and watch the Cubs whip the Reds.
  13. The Brewers had better worry about the Mets and Phillies. As of now, the Mets are just 2.5 back of the Phillies for the division lead and 4 back of Brewers for the wild card.
  14. Braun hits into a 6-3 DP, run scores. Man on third, two out. Fielder just went yard, 4-3.
  15. Rockies in meltdown mode.
  16. 100% agree. Not only that, the Brewers pen is terrible.
  17. 4-0 on the Holliday laser beam. Welcome to 3rd place, Brewers. They better get 3 more Sebathia's. 8-)
  18. Kap just said that Hendry cancelled until Thursday evening. Hmmmmmm, perhaps something in the works, maybe an annoucement?
  19. Kap just mentioned Tim Hudson. I think all of us would be thrilled with that. The Braves are falling fast and being that Hudson is making 16M, IMO, they may just move him.
  20. Kap said that the Cubs would have offered Vitters, Veal and Gallagher if Cleveland wanted that. The problem was Cleveland needed a middle of the order, Major league ready corner outfielder. Only the Brewers had that to offer.
  21. Should be good. After that they are having one of the beat writers from the Milwaukee Joural on as well.
  22. why is that nice to see? That he's not buying into this deal making the Brewers the favorites. yeah, but who cares what he thinks? it's not like it helps the cubs or hurts the brewers. You're not wrong, but couldn't you have let this innocuous little comment go? no It must be very important to you.
  23. why is that nice to see? That he's not buying into this deal making the Brewers the favorites. yeah, but who cares what he thinks? it's not like it helps the cubs or hurts the brewers. I agree with that. However, most of time when a deal like this is made the media wets themselves into thinking that's the move that will win a title for a team.
