  1. Man, when Woody comes back we have one filthy pen. Cotts (He's been very good) Samardzija Gaudin Marmol Wood
  2. Z: Dominant! Fukudome: Swinging it well again. A-Ram: Busting out Oh, Brewers fans and WTMJ, stick to the day jobs as those two "guaranteed wins" are bye bye. Cubs smelled blood in the water and attacked! Great win!! When we play like this, no one can touch this team.
  3. IMO, there is no reason to burn Samardzija in a rout like this. I'd rather have him for tomorrow, etc.
  4. Dude, those guys work for the Cubs. Sheehan doesn't. Z is not a 18 year old pitcher, he's a horse. Don't worry, Lou will take him out but this pitch count crap is getting ridiculous. It's not like he has thrown 160 pitches. this HAS to be dusty baker. No, I just probably know a lot more about Baseball then you. But carry on with those weak jokes. While I agree that pitch counts are overrated, you should really leave the "I know more than you do about baseball" junk out of it. It makes you sound extraordinarily immature, and Truffle is a well-respected, knowledgeable poster. LOL! But he can call people Dusty Baker? LOL!! I'm enjoying this win waaaaay too much to get into a pissing match. We're all Cubs fans here, lets enjoy the win.

Just stating the facts, pal. Carry on, though.

  8. Len and Bob basically saying what I'm saying about pitch counts. Thanks, guys.
  9. This has been a very "easy" 118 pitches. He hasn't had a high stress inning and if we can have fresh arms in the pen the last 2 games, let him finish the damn thing.
  10. That would take about 140 pitches He's at 103. I doubt he gets to 140.
  11. I think Lou is goint to let Carlos go the distance. Z does not have a complete game, although he could have 2-3 if Lou didn't yank him.
  12. Wait, the Brewers aren't winning? WTMJ in Milwaukee and their fans said the first two games were guaranteed wins. :rotfl:
  13. A-Ram with 3 straight doubles!!! Nice play, Braun.
  14. Nice inning, Z. The Brewers and their fans are demoralized right now. 8-)
  15. Sheets on pace to be over 100 pitches through 6. Keep it close, Cubs.
  16. He hit a couple of balls well, but just missed them both.
  17. Big hit from D-Lee. He seems ready to roll again. Gaudin was more then huge in that 8th inning. A great addition to the pen in the Harden deal. Reed Johnson with maybe the play of the game in the 7th on that slide. Marmol looks back to normal and Soriano gets it rolling to start. Ok, ok, Lilly did a decent job as well. Big win in game 1 of the 4 game set.
  18. Lots of fastballs from Carlos tonight. I like it! You have to keep them honest by throwing some heat once in a while.
