Yeah I think they got a terrible draw for SF being a last place team from the NFC West. Pretty important to win the opener vs Minnesota- I doubt they can go into Detroit in week 2 and win.

Yeah, PCA, Suzuki, Busch, Swanson,etc have all been in slumps but the narrative is centered towards Tucker. Wonder if this is PTR, Hoyer, and the rest of the Cubs brass pushing this to soften the blow when they don't resign him? Not to be a conspiracy nut- but I don't trust these guys.

The person happiest about Tucker's struggles is PTR. The Cubs need Tucker to get right to have any chance at a deep postseason run. I believe he will come around. He is too good of a player. Maybe let him get a full week off and bring him back on the 2nd half of the road trip in San Fran

If nothing else if the Cubs take at least one of the final 2 the Brewers will be hoping San Diego/LA plays them in the NLDS not the Cubs
