  1. Curling can be enjoyable to watch. Yes
  2. Free taco at Taco Bell today 2-6 https://www.tacobell.com/stealabase?partnerId=ed-12041134-1025688783
  3. Cardinals 2011-2014 so 4 years. I think the Braves made it several times in a row in the 90's? Not including the 94 strike year. 1991 1992 1993 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 Edited, in Bull's link
  4. They can' really start it any earlier than 5 Pacific. The problem is the games are going north of 4 hours. Why can't they start it earlier than 5 PT? 76% of the US population lives in the eastern or central time zone. Start the game at 4 PT IMO Oh I agree with you, but I'm just trying to use the logic of MLB and the TV networks

  6. Jansen only threw around 15 pitches for a 6 out save.
  7. That book was really good. I think I got thru it in 2 days right when it came out. As for game 5 I remember that morning ticket prices were dropping. I almost pulled the trigger on a single ticket on Stubhub in UD reserved for like $750, my wife said go but I decided to be responsible. For games 3 and 4 similar tickets I think were between 1500-2000 a ticket.
  8. What a glorious time to be alive. I remember thinking after Chapman ended game 5. They really are going to horsefeathering do this
  9. Looks like I picked a bad game to pass out at 8pm
  10. So A.J Hinch was in an altercation at his hotel bar after game 1? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2017/10/27/astros-a-j-hinch-denies-report-of-an-altercation-with-a-dodgers-fan-in-a-hotel-bar/?utm_term=.654ba680fdb9 He is denying it. But given that most Dodger fans are assholes I wouldn't be surprised if a shouting match occurred.
  11. I would love a super boring Cubs WS season and postseason. Yes, in 2018 I hope the Cubs go 11-0 and don't have a pitcher record a save. BTW, today is the 1 year anniversary of Game 1. What a shitty game that was, but amazing to see the Cubs play a WS game for the first time in most of our lives.
  12. Same here. Ill start with game 2 tomorrow off my blu ray box set.
  13. The World Series patches aren't very good this year on the caps and jerseys. Much better obviously last year and also in years before that.
  14. Holy horsefeathers, a thread about John Mallee is 6 pages long
  15. I was at that game, it was 7 degrees at kickoff and 3 when the game ended. My beer would turn to slush if I didn't drink it within 5 minutes.
  16. What the horsefeathers? Have they not paid attention to Theo's tenure in Boston? Or this this just them trying to convince themselves the Brewers have a chance in the next 5 years so they can sleep at night?
  17. Levine was on the Score and said he wouldn't be surprised if the Hickey signing was announced today. The WS starting tomorrow MLB does not like teams announcing moves.
  18. Heatwave hitting LA. First pitch Tuesday expected to be 95F.
  19. Brewer reddit (NSFW) This actually made my morning. https://www.vivaelbirdos.com/2017/10/18/16496906/chicago-cubs-have-already-peaked-dynasty-over
  20. The Dodgers are gonna destroy either the Astros or the Yankees
  21. That'd be effing stupid. I'd prefer we not trade a guy with a damn near historic glove that can hit 25-30 HR. Schwarber seems to be the obvious trade bait. He needs to go be a DH somewhere. Schwarber's value has never been higher. Baez's peaked over the last offseason, but is still higher than it should be. Not advocating either, but trading Schwarber right now would be stupid. He was untouchable a season ago. He's now a non-commodity. Trading someone when there value is the highest is the time to trade( Not that I think they should trade Schwarber)
  22. Cubs Dong Kershaw to death, Q goes 7 with a 10-2 lead. Lackey gets mop up duty for the 8th and 9th, Cubs win 10-5, on to LA
