    Wasnt that stupid.. they won and he has one of the worst teams on paper in 1st place. I can't believe Braden Looper almost threw a complete game. If only he had. LaRussa, once again, stupidly left his starter out there too long. Looper threw 114 damn pitches. On top of all their pixie dust, their manager gets away with insanely stupid moves like that.

    The Cards made Jeff Weaver and Anthony Reyes look like Cy Young in the World Series.. I'm not suprised.

    to be fair the Cubs have $18 million more of payroll and 2 men on the DL ($4.2 Million). The Cards have 7 players on the DL ($26.4 Million). I'm amazed at what the Cards have done regardless of who they have played.

    guys.. its not coincidence the pitching is good.. duncan works wonders. look at their world series win a couple of years ago.. duncan made weaver look like cy young. cards will be here until at least july.
