  1. Of course, if you listed ALL the names you had due to your bannings, it would be the longest post ever. Note to all: I'm familiar with her from when I still occasionally posted on cubs.com, and she didn't deserve to get banned. I myself got banned several times around the same time.
  2. I don't teach nath (math either :D ). I teach business, mainly accounting.
  3. In other words, people should READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and they might find their questions answered. (Sorry; I couldn't resist, since I'm a college professor and still sometimes have to beat students over the head (figuratively speaking, not literally) to get them to read instructions. :D )
  4. Barring a blockbuster move (such as signing Beltran), I will be very disappointed if Dubois doesn't get a fair chance to at least win a platoon job, if not the starting job outright.
  5. I thought he said he'd "take care of" the umpire, but my memory is a bit fuzzy on the exact wording (although I'll never forget the gyst of what he said). That was one of the all-time classic 7th inning stretches.
  6. The same type of "chat" Steve McMichael was going to have with Angel Hernandez a few years ago when he was thrown out after the 7th inning stretch.
  7. I've been a fan of Hendry since last year, and even more so now. Once again he gets a player that can help make the difference this year and possibly beyond without mortgaging the future. Harris and Jones may well be missed, but they can be replaced. The acquisition of Lewis as supposedly a throw-in in the Cruz trade is looking even bigger now. Last year the Cubs had two glaring holes in the lineup: catcher and shortstop. Catcher was taken care of during the offseason, and now shortstop is a strength. It may not be in time to win the division this year, but WHEN the Cubs win the Wild Card, they'll have a formidable lineup in addition to a great rotation for the postseason. I'll admit Hendry occasionally makes a mistake, as do all GMs (e.g. $4 million to Alf last year), but his good moves easily outweigh his goofs. Even what seems like a questionable move at the time (e.g. acquiring Macias) can work out. Good job, Mr. Hendry; your Executive of the Year award is awaiting. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
  8. Todd Walker has been hitting very well this year. At the same time, Dusty has publicly stated that Grudzielanek is the starting 2B (when healthy) and Walker was signed as a bench player. When Grudz returns, do you think he'll keep the starting position full-time, or do you see Walker at least platooning (if not winning the job outright)?
  9. I made it into a sticky (you actually could have done that yourself by clicking on Sticky at the bottom of the post). If the administrators don't think this should be a sticky they can always undo what I did.
  10.     Salty (I think the actual screen name is SaltyCub or something like that) used to post on the cubs.com board as (I think) CubAZ or something like that (The AZ was short for Arizona, where he used to live). He has since moved to Salt Lake City, which is what the Salty refers to. He's registered here and has posted a few times, although I don't think for quite a while.
  11. YOU STALKER! Those are the last 4 digits of my phone number. Are you gonna get my zip code and address next?!?!? I know where you live, I know where you work, and I know which messages board you frequent. NOOOOOOOOOO! 8-[ Big Brother knows everything about you. :D
  12. Well deserved, and more meaningful than the old Poster of the Week on the cubs.com board. Of course, we expect a detailed report on the convention now. :D
  13. When you click on Profile, at the bottom of the peag there should be an area with the heading "Avatar control panel." There is a box you can check marked "Delete Image," then click on the Submit button.
  14. Actually you can remove it yourself. Just go to your profile and click the box for removing the avatar.
  15. I said bye bye to my avatar too.
  16. Unfortunately the secret's out. We all know that your screen name on the other board is Hogcard8.
  17. I only know it's her because she mentions who she is in one of her posts. Her screen name sometimes gives a hint too, because lately she's used the name of one of the Cub pitchers in her name.
  18. My earlier post is already out of date. TCF has a new name again. Now she's Cruz4Starter.
  19. No, they're different posters. TCF has also been known as ILuvKerry34, chcluvspitchin, and goinforthegoat, among other names. She's now WoodWonder34. Cubbiegirl74 is a completely different poster.
  20. If TCF ever joins this board she can take up this entire subject by herself with all the different names she's used. :D
