    Heh. I think the rain will stop completely in a few minutes. Looking at the radar, the back end of the storm (front) is just about to pass Chicago. oh happy days. I hate the Houston Astros with a fiery passion that burns me more than the hatred I have for the Cardinals. Houston hatred>Iowa Hatred Wow. That is some serious hatred for a someone named illiniguy. Think about what they gave away this offseason Beltran and Kent. Add to that Bagwell is done and they have lost about what 90 homers 300 rbis yet they are still playing this well. It is flat out ridiculous. I GET THE FEELING THAT THIS SURGE OF THEIRS WONT BE AS SUSTAINED AS LAST YEARS, IT TOOK BELTRAN AND HIS REALLY GOOD 2ND HALF LAST YEAR TO GET THEM INTO THE PLAYOFFS, THEY DONT HAVE THAT THIS YEAR

    I'm gonna do my best, but I have to work at 7:30 AM... ahhh, stupid summer jobs. I HAVE TO WORK AT 7:30 TOO, BUT THAT AINT GONNA KEEP ME FROM MY CUBBIES AND BEER!!! JUST TEASIN YA.

    all I can say is Chad Fox. If Wood is in the pen, and is having shoulder problems, I dont care what the doctors say, the last person I would trust his shoulder and career to would be Dusty. shut him down and get him scoped.

    Nomar's Peoria rehab will go through July 28th. FWIW the Jaxx are home from July 29-August 4th, while the Iowa Cubs will be at Tacoma and Portland From July 29-August 2 before returning to Iowa for games August 4-August 11. dusty said last night during the game Nomah would end up in Iowa or W. Tenn, depending on who was playing at home. looks like you may get to see him play in Jackson

    What is the "whip" stat for pitchers? how is it calculated? I see this term all over the msg board, and I have been to shy to ask, but I REALLY GOTTA KNOW.

    forgive my memory, but was it Kearns or Casey who was sent to the minors earlier this year? freakin Reds have too many stud of's.

    he also destroys leftys, icld Rusch, Mulder, Merker wow. hits Cordero (Wash) pretty well too.

    I honestly see Dunn's OBP going down and SO going up with a small boost in AVE if he came to the Cubs, a la Baker. I also wouldnt want to trade 3-4 of our best prospects for him. we would have to give up a healthy Guzman + to get the guy, and we dont have that. If he had to be traded, and it was between LA and us, i would say 70%chance hses in Dodger Blue, 30% chance hes in Cubbie Blue do to the Dodgers supply of upper shelf pitching prospects.

    honestly, I think you can add Barrett Wood Williams maybe Maddux (unless released after July 31) but I'm all for a shake up
