He probably liked it more when Alou & Sosa were here and when people weren't griping about him as much in the papers and on the radio. Rozner rips him a new one every time I hear him. But I'm sure he's hearing that he can make scads of money in free agency. And I'm sure that other cities might be attractive as well. I don't see how Hendry can possibly replace what would be lost if Aramis walks, given all the other holes. But that's part of the problem ... even with Aramis, I don't have much faith in the Cubs putting together a winning team next year, even in a bad NL. So why should Aramis hang around hoping that the organization can get its act together? He's in his prime and he won't get a better chance to make big bucks like this again now that steroids are illegal so ya, I see him leaving and getting a chance to win. Unfortunately I agree. Likely the reason why his agent built the ipt-out into his contract to begin with. I'd rather see him stay but I'm afraid of the $$$ he'll command. If signing him comes at the cost of signing Schimdt or Zito, I'd pass. pffft...a Cubs team minus ARAM is bad w/ or w/o Zito or Schmidt

Apparently you can't add a mascot just on a whim, so they supposedly sent him down to the minors for some work (at least that was the Brewers explanation on it), and they will bring him back at the start of next season. weird.

That recent HBP was unintentional, imo. I didnt think that mattered anymore once warnings were issued.... It still matters. In Barrett's case, it seemed like he almost turned into it and the pitch looked more like a mistake than anything else. If it were a bit more borderline, then I think Bush would have been tossed. Ic

The problem with that is it would likely involve inserting Henry Blanco into the lineup. Holy crap that was a shot. Yeah, unless we went out and got a decent receiver who could hit a little bit. I wouldn't mind having Miller back. Or hell, even giving Soto a shot. Dusty would have a stroke if he had to do that. I'm alll for Barrett as a DH, alas until the NL converts I'd rather have him behind the plate until Soto can hit like he can...

The thing I don't like about the new program is that they don't say exactly what you tested positive for (atleast not that I've found). It could be steroids, andro. amphetamines...a large number of things. While cheating is cheating, I wish they'd atleast release what these players are testing positive for exactly. Do they still keep it secret from the players? wouldn't the players already know?
