  1. I guess in my point of view, unfortunately right now he is our best option @ #1.
  2. I agree. And the Bears could still take another solid WR prospect possibly in the 2nd rd. idk, with the WR FA market this offseason as it is, your looking at a guy who has abot 1/2 the production as BB and will likely command a simular salary as BB. I'd just stick with who we have. I think a major problem is a lot of people apparently think Berrian has had about twice the production he's actually had. He's done very little in the NFL for him to be thought of as a #1 receiver. Very little. what makes Johsnon a better bet? http://sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/396163 BB almost 2x's prduction http://sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/492890 I still rather stick with BB for our #1 then Johnson

  4. idk. Johnson doesnt impress me. just give BB his money. if he doenst perform as if he is worth it next year, let him go. in the meantime, work with Bradly and drafting.
  5. well, that sucks about briggs. dont know what to say about BB. and BA? go find your money then. you really arent a starting LB.
  6. BB needs more work on his part, but he could be qute abit better then mediocre.
  7. his days are gone. good luck, but lets move on.
  8. good start Angelo.
  9. Chris Harris. Man, what an incomprehensible, completely unnecessary move by Angelo/Lovie. That's what happens when you acquire Archuleta and Ricky Manning, unfort. they let go of the wrong guy. I dont really miss Harris all that much, but I agree letting Archuletta or RMJ go would have been better.
  10. and the #1 rated QB is........ ](*,)
  11. I dont thinks its talent we have issues with @ QB. its using them, and developing them. I still think Rex can be pretty good as long as he has protection and a run game so he can have time to throw and use the play action. He's a pocket passer with not much of a pocket (even in 2006, truth be told, the protection wasn't all that great). But I'm a pretty big Grossman homer. I would agree with you
  12. I probably dont miss him as much as other Bear fans, but good for him.

  14. No thanks. meh..I dont see how Brohm would solve our issues @ QB
  15. I like Feneca, but paying him alot of money for 2-3 years and drafting oline heavy. I wouldnt lock him up for 6-7 or we will be in the same mess we are in right now. I would love to get Clady @14, and I might be the only one here who thinks thats very possible
  16. IDK, for me, it would depend on what kind of contract they could get him for.
  17. why not? and who says it will be Grossman? it very well could be ORton. either way, I think people make a bigger deal out of the QB pos then is really needed. Johnson would GREATLY improve a position we need improving. i don't think you can make too big a deal about the QB position in regards to a WR, as the WR is rendered completely useless when the QB can't get the ball to him. well, I fully believe Grossman is more then enough of a QB to get the ball to Chad Johnson.

  19. so, I still get the daily Fanball email from my fantasy league this past fall. in it this morn, I found this: Feneca would be a nice addition, although pricey. good to see Angelo not ignoring the line finally.
  20. The more I think about it, it may not be a bad move to franchise Berrian. Sure, he'd be overpaid, but only for 1 season. He'd be a tough sign for whoever the year after, assuming he doesn't want to take a massive paycut. right..
  21. he differs in the expected salary he would command, but your point is still true, I think.
  22. He won't make it past Seattle and could go as early as Houston/Arizona, as I pointed out above. Yea I was replying to minnesotacubsfan who said he would be a good pick for the Bears in the 2nd round. Mendenhall would be worth the 14th pick, but the Bears need to work on the OLine before they take a back. With last years line it wouldnt matter who the RB or Qb was. well, I agree with you that he will go late in the 1st, but I still wouldnt take him until the 2nd. I dont think he is worth a#14 pick, with our other needs.
  23. especially Mendenhall @ #14 he might be a nice 2nd rd'r for us tho
  24. ouch. is he worth it? he's getting up there in years isnt he?? That's probably why they franchised him. Flozell is coming off another pro-bowl season and is likely looking to make big money over 4-5 years. Good left tackles usually make pretty big dollars on the FA market. The Cowboys may be worried that Free or McQuistan aren't ready to step in and replace him. This way, while they'll have to pay him big bucks for one year, they aren't locked into a long-term commitment. I figured it could happen. IC, makes sense. I guess I assumed they would look to sign him for more years
  25. DaJuan Morgan is on the rise. He could be available in the second round. Kevin Payne might be better than we think, though. I still like Phillips, even tho I think safety is less of a need then I thought it was at mid-season. The Cover-2 needs a stud midfielder. maybe Payne could be that, maybe Brown will be back..I dont know mch about Morgan. good size, decent speed, but thats all I know..
