  1. what doesnt Rivers do? every friggen play he's screaming at someone in reaction
  2. aahhh, the hell of a bye week.
  3. any interest in Reggie Bush to back up Forte?
  4. Next you'll tell me that wearing my lucky jersey doesn't have an affect either. Oh no that totally does. You and you alone have the power to affect the game by the jersey that you wear. Just like I am able to affect Bulls games based on whether or not I am watching the game. Use this power wisely. make sure you're at an opera or something this sunday, please.
  5. God's favorite team.
  6. why am I not surprised http://www.ajhawk.com/images/07_aj_hawk.jpg
  7. Since the play isn't over until the player is down, wouldn't an INT returned for a TD and still count? go back a page
  8. I think he meant its the only way a a team could score twice in OT BEFORE the other team scored at all
  9. oh [expletive] I forgot that.
  10. its that cold now, well, 30 degrees anyway. wont the colder temp help the field surface? will it be harder, and thus less slippery / muddy / loose sod, or will it just be an ice rink a la TCF?
  11. I like your optimism
  12. No, because the second someone picks off the pass, he's kneeling down, because the game's over. Sure, if the pick is deep over the middle. But considering how often pick 6's come off passes in the flat where there is nothing but clear sailing for the defender, you have to think most guys are staying upright and running it in to clinch the game. A safety coming off a possession that starts with a kickoff, instead of a punt deep inside the 5, turnover on downs following a goal line stand or red zone turnover, is highly unlikely. Yeah, has anyone even seen a safety occur after a kickoff? it could happen pretty quickly. kickoff returner muffs the kick, ball rolls around the 4 yr line, receiving team recovers. offense steps back in a pass, defense gets a quick inside rush that forces the QB out and the DE chases after him into the end zone for the safety. those are 2 plays that can happen with out any imagination and would lead to a safety in that situation. a pick-6 to the flat would probably be more likely, tho.

  14. it took me your 2nd post as Lo Pan to figure out who you were, and that was before I read your avatar description
  15. Post-concussion Cutler is the biggest, but those two mattered as well. I would have preferred to face New Orleans in Chicago again, but I think the Bears show up and impress this weekend. I don't know if you can definitively say that post-concussion Cutler was the biggest issue. We simply don't know how severe the concussion was 2 weeks prior. Rodgers returned 2 weeks after his 2nd concussion of the year and threw for 400 yards and 4 TDs. I'm willing to accept it as a possibility, but I don't think you can say with certainty the concussion affected Cutler any more than a crappy o-line, lack of running game and bad playcalling did. that crappy line probably was scaring the [expletive] out of Cutler all game
  16. it scares me to see Chicago at the top of the NFC there. I dont want them to lose their edge (mental us-vs-them)
  17. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA History will repeat itself!!!!!!
  18. [expletive]. Also, not to sound conspiratorial, but it's just bad luck that we had picked in the top-3 every year and had to severely overpay guys due to need (like $70m for Stafford) and now that we're out of the top, there's probably going to be a rookie cap and other teams can now afford to take these guys like Peterson or Prince high in the draft and not have to worry about giving massive contracts to a player at a position of lesser impact. I think its awesome. gotta keep the Lions down. (I'm kidding of course)
  19. I would agree. it just seemed like nobody was wrapping him up or gang tackling. and was that a stiff arm or was it kung-fu throat chop? either way, it was the highlight.
  20. a wide-open Seahawks team and a uptight Bears team is what I fear, but I do think Lovie is good at having his teams ready to play mentally
  21. I thought it was a great trample-styled run, but I dont know if it was the best playoff run ever. maybe its just me, but I think its a bit over hyped already
  22. This is all kinds of dumb. Not only that, but it's kind of odd that a FG kicker is the one saying it considering his job doesn't really get any easier or harder depending on what team he plays. Did he not have faith in his team to beat the Eagles? pretty sure he wants the NFC Championship at SF or just wants NFC North bragging rights Those are fine reasons, but I'm pretty sure that's not how the Seahawks will see it. what are they going to do? rough the kicker for revenge? the Bears have plenty to avenge in this one
  23. I'm not so confident about Seattle. maybe its because I live here and I don't want to lose to these guys and deal with it for a week they will be coming off a big emotional win, ripe for a let down. they will be confident, maybe overconfident. they are terrible on the road, but have already beat us once. they will be playing with "nothing to lose", but they wont be at home. if things start to turn on them, they will snowball. but they have already beat us, and they are the type of team we struggle with in their short passing game. if Urlacher breaks Hasslebecks leg in the first 15 min, i'll feel a lot better.
