    I doubt Nick Roach is the difference in this game. In fact, only Harris being out is really the only thing I worry about. All the others have capable and closely matched replacements, aside from Barber. But he hasnt been a part of this team in the past, so its hard to know what we are missing.

    More like people give way too much weight to only one data point because it's the most recent one. The Bears beat arguably the preseason favorite from the NFC in a very remarkable fashion. It might be one data point, but its a big one.

    This idea that Urlacher isnt as recognizable as Lewis is stupid. Everyone I know in the Seattle area asks me about him, everyone sees him in the George, Butkis, Singletary lineage, and quite a few place him with Butkis at the top. Ray Lewis never comes up in the topic of the top LB's in the league. Its always Urlacher, OMC's kid in SF, or Mayo. The prevailing opinion is that Lewis is an old guy playing out his career.     he didn't play as a rookie Is there some designation I'm missing? You burn your rookie year in the NFL if you don't play? Was this question actually asked? I guess I was looking at it in a baseball sense, where there's a qualification before you lose rookie eligibility. must be the OK fan in you.

Are you purposely being obtuse here, or do you really not understand the difference between causing fumbles and recovering fumbles? Fumble recovery percentage last year: http://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/fumble-recovery-pct if anything, that link seems to say the Bears won despite being relatively UNLUCKY when recovering fumbles last year. it doesn't show in any way that their luck with fumbles was what led them to win yesterday. They win regardless of their fumble recoveries.

    so you loose 1 person on your o-line adn your day falls apart? idk. the bears d looked strong, and Melton has looked strong all preseason 2 sacks and 7 quarterback hits from an interior defensive lineman adds a dimension to this defense that we haven't had ever. #91, year 2006
