    In total numbers? There are also exponentially more big ten alums out there bc the schools are massive (and alumnus also includes former students who don't graduate, which gives big ten schools another several hundred thousand). painting Big Ten alumns as drop-out failures is hurting my feelings, Richard. Its sooo unkind.

    just cant survive with the big boys, can you? We've been trying to keep pace with Minnesota for years. But their top recruits keep staying home. Like Michael Floyd, for example. And now by joining the Big Ten they won't be able to schedule Duke @ Target Field. Bye bye Michael Floyd. What are you talking about? I'm confused to. I mean, with TCF Stadium, why would either the Gophers or Irish want to play at the Twins stadium? Its not set up for football at all, and although I'm sure both teams have athletes, I dont they would make for a very competitive baseball game. It all sounds very awkward.

    Buffone is horrible. I will say that Cutler overthrew a number of receivers, and that annoyed me, but there was so much more to take away from that game... Isn't Buffone strongly backing Cutler there? I think Brenedon is commenting on Buffone's lack of humanitarian work.

    This was what caused Omiyale to go nuts and have a near fight. It was where Cutler tried to punch the guy while on the ground. Dunbar, I believe. I couldn't believe no one said anything about it on the replay on FOX. why the hell did Frank hold back? its not like him missing any time would hurt the bears. There is likely no drop-off from his play to the 5th best tackle on this team, or practice squad. he should have flat out mauled a few saints.

    BUT WE HAVE TO LET THE KIDS PLAAAAAAAAAAY or some [expletive] like that I think it says a lot that the Pittsburgh tackle took less money to stay with them then to come to Chicago, and Angelos response is to simply give up on looking at ANY free angent OL's. OH WELL I TRIED.

    a kick returner. i mean since Hester has clearly failed and the league is getting tougher on returns, we HAVE to invest in more talent there. That or a 2nd tier safety who can play special teams. Facetious, but probably 1/2 true. The Bears are probably not going to take OL in the 1st. Carimi and Webb will get another year at OT, unless they are completely terrible. And the Bears probably don't think interior OL is a first round worthy pick (considering they've never picked an C or G in the 1st). I'd like them to go for Mike Brewster to play C for the next 10 years, but if they don't, it has to be a WR. This draft is loaded at WR. FWIW, I still think this team picks between 18-25. They are not as bad as today. They can be as good as Week 1. facetious? it makes about as much sense as any drafting strategy Angelo has EVER had. and although I was completely joking around, I really fear this type of draft by Angelo.

    I'd guess the Lions are a 8-10 win team this year, but I dont think they are elite enough to go head-to-head with GB, NE, AT, possibly NO. They might might be the Bears closest match.

    two ten-win teams last year At what point over the last two weeks have you looked at the Chiefs and thought "yup, that's a 10-win team in 2011"??? it's just a questionable conclusion to reach: "the Lions are thoroughly dismantling the Chiefs in epic fashion, doubtful any of that is due to the Lions own abilities..." the only "epic" fashion here is how "epic-ly bad" the chiefs really are. they might just tie the Lions 0-16 record.

    Watch out for the Seahawks. Not worried about them. They get to play other NFC West teams. not to mention they have at least 15 secret weapons on their team....
