  1. wwwttttffff I knew I was right in not liking the idea of getting Montero lmao you have no idea who mejia is do you Nope. None Yea I googled the guy. 20 year olds can flame out, but I don't like giving up both solid prospects and money to a platoon hitter
  2. I hate how you all know these sportswriters and their tendencies and I just have to trust inter web people
  3. wwwttttffff I knew I was right in not liking the idea of getting Montero lmao you have no idea who mejia is do you Nope. None
  4. How is a guy projecting to start 110-120 games a backup? Ohhhh BACKUP, I thought we were saying BACKSTOP
  5. Look guys, don't believe the lies, Jon Lester has Stolkholm Syndrome.
  6. Boston told you to sick their [expletive] Jon. Let's be real here.
  7. Apparently we are. We just keep calling him a "platoon player" Eta: directed at ssr
  8. Other people thinking the same thing: I don't get it, I think SF is just being honest. They are #3. I just don't think that a mlb gm would play "wooo is us" in order to lure a pitcher? That's got to backfire
  9. As long as it isn't for a backup catcher I'm cool
  10. That was mine Well to be fair, we're like twins and all especially how much we both love Jerry Kill and lutefisk
  11. meh? Losing a 6'7 guy that throws upper 90's and is young wasn't what I was hoping for. I get it, but I would have preferred not to lose him nonetheless. Low 90's from what I read
  12. I hate 84 more than 89 but both were gut punches. I am 37 now, so my memories were fairly vague of 84 but I still to this day remember my dad saying "[expletive] 1969 all over again" "[expletive] Leon Durham". In 2003 I said something similar about Alex Gonzalez. 37? I'm 41 and I sometimes get '84 & '87 events mixed up. I remember being more excited for '84 probably because the Cubs hadn't been division winners prior in my lifetime. Also the 1983 White Sox just happened. 87 Dawson won MVP on a last place team. Even though they stunk still a fun summer. Was that the year Dawson got plunked in the face by Eric Show(sp?) and charged the mound? Sry I meant '89, but I think your right about Show

  15. Based on what's winning it's clear NSBB doesn't understand great humor. NSBB hasn't understood humor since Da'Bum left Winner winner chicken dinner
