  1. Howard is a beast. Wide open hole
  2. How the horsefeathers does Barth have a job
  3. He likes drugs. The NLF does not. Fyi
  4. Not everyone was borne from a giraffe. But maybe it helps his vision, turning his head to see the ball coming his way!
  5. 810 yards on 58 catches last year
  6. having a stud secondary is so f-in cool Mike Brown Tony Parrish days
  7. Ummm They're 3-4. Not long ago they were 1-4. Yea, i know, sample size, but in the nfl the season can switch quickly
  8. He could have kept Cutler and drafted Trubisky. Yes. But even Cutty couldn’t have done much with this group of hooligan receivers and play calling. This intoxicating mix is deadly for an offense
  9. When Buddy Ryan was hired by the Eagles just prior to Super Bowl XX, it was looked as being a bellwether for things to come. The tension between Ditka and Ryan (who never really liked each other) was very evident leading up to 1985. Getting to the Super Bowl finally and losing 1/2 of the coaching genius who got you there was s big deal. That being said, i thing coordinators have a larger effect on games in the NFL then in MLB. And Ryans impending departure didn’t bother the Bears D one bit in that game
  10. Yeah I was definitely not expecting the defensive turn around to be this fast, hopefully they don't go Angelo and wait till these guys are all past their prime to get an offense. I wouldn't call 3 years in, fast. Especially when they haven't improved the offense at all in that time. 3 drafts and 3 free agent seasons is plenty of time to make a unit above average. Its an adequate schedule, but its certainly not slow either. Pace and Fangino have methodically and expertly put it together. The worry is the offense lagging.
  11. Well John, maybe you should stop
  12. I waffle on the WR quality and its impact. Clearly it will have some impact, but how much? The Bears cut Thompson last week and he was the leading receiver for the Bills this week with 100+ yards receiving. I didn't watch the game so maybe he got lucky but I'd like to think if he can get open in Buffalo, he probably could get open in Chicago too. I think the Bears just turtled soon as they got the lead. Mitch was told not to turn over the ball so he was extremely conservative. They pass only when they have to - making it totally obvious to the opposing team. Also the tackles didn't hold up well yesterday from what I saw. What I'm saying is that it's a rich tapestry of suck and I don't think bringing in a guy like Bryant is really going to do anything in the short term. Accute and true, but when you hit wr’s in the hands and they cant catch the ball...... I wonder how much of this is Fox/Loggains restricting in-play reads by wr and qb? That could limit what Trubisky reads as he works through progressions.
  13. So substance abuse but 15 tds in 3 years? Will a 6 rd do?
  14. Bryant just seems like a Keyshawn Johnson w/o the talent (i say w/o knowing much about bryant)
  15. I mean that, and jon fox is a [expletive] moron
  16. I guess maybe there's *some* (?) value in having him in game and getting his feet wet like this until he gets a better feel and faces not so great defenses but it is really terrible to watch and debatable at best as to whether there's any benefit to this. Its horsefeathering hell not having a wr worth a horsefeathers. But hey we stuck by that Kevin White pick when we let Jeffery go! (Nevermimd Meredith’s terrible demise). If you still had Jeffrey, even if Meredith was gone, he wouldn’t be made of horsefeathering glass like White
  17. NOTHING GOOD EVER HAPPENS TO SULLEY'S TEAMS - john fox
  18. Bears offense- 4 receptions for 107 yards; 68 yards rushing Bears defense- 2 receptions for 84 yards, TD; 75 yards rushing (fumble return), TD yea, I mean, we had a 334 yard 2 TD day
  19. Life is fun when the Bears D is good
