At least Chicago is investing in the QB position
-
i guess if Nagy is still calling plays, having the weaker coaches at OC and passing coord, and getting a better coach where they need the most help (QB) makes some sense. thats all I got
-
Yes, thats the curious part for me. DeFlippio goes from OC (and hc candidate) down two rungs to QB coach. Im not sure why he’s doing it, and Ragone should be dumped imo.

Curious hire, good at working with QBs tho

Saw the headline, has he been hurt? Or just trying to get out of the NFL alive?

The pitching is still a mess and giant question mark, this is a nice going for it move but they half assed the pitching in going for it. horsefeathers PITCHERS...BOMBS ARE WERE ITS AT

They have two fun young major league starters: Zac Gallen and Luke Weaver. They've also got a fantastic farm, but nothing super close to the majors, so one of those two would have to be the headliner I'd think. They have like 6 SS’s or CF’ers in their fangraphs org top 10. There’s gotta be a guy or two to like in their, I’d imagine. If we're giving up Bryant I'd want them all to hedge against busts

2019-20 Offseason Rumors/General Chit-Chat

Wait huh? He was the one that reported it earlier today. Is he saying he misspoke or did he hear something new since his first report? One of the idiots at Bleacher Nation misheard or misunderstood what he said and ran with it from what I gather. Levine allegedly said he’s heard the Cubs have had internal talks of moving Bryant to CF with Bote going to 3B and then he followed it up with saying he could confirm the Passan report from this week that we are interested in Arenado/have checked in, but he didn’t say the two moves were linked. Someone at BN took that to mean KB to CF and a trade for Arenado, which wasn’t what he said or meant at all. nooooooooooooooo -

total rich old-white-man ploy: sell with the best stuff you have, then sell the best stuff you have.

He's done it at the NFL level before. But he's also had some success at multiple spots with relatively dynamic offenses and has been involved in developing a decent list of QBs. He worked under Andy Reid with the Eagles, so there's a possibility they will have synergy. I didn't realize he had worked under Reid. Also don't know if this has been posted: he wants an OC pos
