  1. Just to point out Fuku has now been thrown out on the base paths twice this game one more than Theriot. Anyone going to jump all over him for it?
  2. Fielder in pic 1: I'm gonna get you sucka! Fielder in pic 2: Where am I?
  3. If he ever has a play at the plate against Soto he will be.
  4. He's hit the ball well ALL year. No one wants to admit it and it's kinda of lame how much the Theriot haters want him to fail, just so they are proven correct. I think it's ludicrous to state that Cubs fans here want Theriot to fail. Seriously. I'm loving Theriot's production. If he keeps it up he can stay in the 2-hole all year. But he's better suited as a backup as long as Ronny is on this team. He can't stay in the two hole if he is going to keep making outs on the bases though. He can stay in the two hole as long as he hits .340 even if he gets an out on the base paths once every five games.
  5. HAHAHA ... that's all that needs to be said.
  6. I don't know he almost got contact on that pitch. If someone gets contact on a Marmol strikeout pitch than Marmol f-ed up.
  7. So...you're saying Albert Einstein was the grittiest human being who ever lived? umm if he played a sport maybe and when I quote someone that means I'm not the one who said it.
  8. So people aren't allowed to show their displeasure when players make stupid decisions? No people can but a lot of the people posting have criticized not just the play. They have said the things they said a month ago. Not a good player, shouldn't be playing, isn't gritty ... etc. Who ever said that Theriot isn't gritty? David said "Can we officially put to bed this idiotic notion (probably the result of his white grittiness) that Theriot is such a smart, sound player?" That would be someone hinting at the fact that Theriot isn't gritty in his mind.
  9. He was safe but 9 out of 10 times an ump will call him out on that play. It's the assumed tag because the ball got there first effect.

  11. Hey look all the Theriot head hunters have come out from their hiding places.
  12. They both called for it Fukudome just didn't give way to the CF like the RF'er is supposed to.
  13. I think Yost not taking out Gallardo is more of a product of not going to the pen, TOO EARLY, instead of taking Gallardo out too early. One way or the other, I believe the 6th will be Gallardo's last innings. And here's to the Brewers bringing Turnbow in.......... Yost. That and no one was warming up so some halfway cold pitcher after warmup pitches was going to have to just run out there.
  14. It's nice when you manager's biggest issue is whether to start the SS who is hitting .340 or the one hitting .380 or whatever their averages are now.
  15. even if he takes 20 pitches to get out of the next two thats 105 in a six inning outing not too far off track
  16. right now he is but he started like this last year too. .175 .230 .298 coming into today. Through his first 13 games last season he was hitting .260 .302 .400. Not quite the same thing. not the whole picture though last year he had 0 hr 1 rbi 6 r in first 13 games this year he has 2 hr 5 rbi 7 r and we still have the rest of this game to go. 5 RBI and 7 R is the result of playing for a better offense than he was last year. Soriano has pretty much been a waste of space this year. don't disagree but the fact of the matter is he has contributed more to the wins this year than last. Yeah he got on base better last year to this point of the season but they rarely ended up with a run going on the board. All this said yes he has been a waste of space this year but he will snap out of it eventually and dominate for awhile and everyone will be back to cheering for him.
  17. DP's make my day ... as long as the Cubs are the ones turning them

  20. I was about to just watching him have one.
  21. I love when my prediction for Z to hit a home run comes true.
