    Yeah Greeny is a Cub fan, he covered them for awhile as well. One morning after the Brewers finished off sweeping the Cards he even said.. "As you know, I bleed cubbie blue with all my buddies in Chicago...."

    I don't think it's too hard to make sense of losing 4 to the best team in the NL, then turning around and beating one of the worst teams in the NL a couple times in a row ('cuz after all the trades n' injuries, the Braves are now surely one of the NL's worst). I'm looking at the Crew's upcoming schedule. It's incredibly easy so the Brewers should be an auto-win machine all month long. I think he is trying to pretend that we aren't very good. HUH? All I said was that the Brewers sweep the Giants in SF, Sweep a pretty good STL team in STL. Come home, drop 2 out of 3 to the Astros and then get 4 game swept by the Cubs. Go back on the road and win the first 2 games in Atlanta. I have NO idea how you try to turn that around to make it seem like im saying the Cubs are not very good. And I don't care who we are playing on the road, winning on the road is a hard thing to do. (Like last year for the Brewers) So again, It amazes me that you try to turn that around.

    Brewers can't win at home, and can't lose on the road... Baseball makes no sense to me sometimes.

    The Packers are so out of line here. If you don't want Brett Favre to play fine, release him. Don't humiliate yourself anymore Thompson. Favre has earned the right to play if he wants to, Don't act like a baby and offer him 20 million dollars to stay retired, man up. The Commish is being really nice about this by giving Thompson more time to do something with it.

    This was my first reaction to that lineup. I really don't understand batting him there. Cleared that right up for me, thanks! :good: I just pictured Yost sitting at a desk in a small room, a light bulb hanging from the ceiling swinging back and forth slowly, making this line-up. He's penciling in Ryan Braun in the 5 spot, the lead breaks off as he finishes the second 'n'... a wry smile appears on his face. Success. :rotfl:

    After we got sweept in Boston, Yost changed it up and we started winning. We started winning because our pitching came around not because our pitcher was batting 8th, It was actually working.

    Hardy hitting third? I think it has more to do with Hart Pooping his pants and not protecting Fielder. This just means Braun wont be protected so I dont know why you drop your best hitter to 5th. Its Yost

    7 IP 1H 0ER 22K Fielder strikes out in the 7th however Soto droppes the ball and Fielder notices a cupcake at 1st base so turns on the wheels and makes it to 1st. Hart K's to end the inning.

    Looks like Ed Wade is going for it this year. http://trades.mlblogs.com/archives/2008/07/astros_looking_to_add.html Maybe Ed Wade has a big MLB 2k8 video game tournament with the other GM's and he wants all the best players he can get on his team?

    that would be stupid Yea, i guess it would be silly to pay more attention to a baseball game(while at one) than just get wasted. Yes, it would be stupid to purposefully curtail your drinking (ie, fun). Your at a baseball game, If you need to drink to have fun at a baseball game.. well.. I dunno then.
