  1. They have updated the Distribution maps in case anyone was wondering.
  2. Ok I know im not crazy. Dustin Pedroia was batting clean up the last couple days against the White Sox, well he was int. walked in the 2nd game of the series and the crowd started chanting.. "MVP" "MVP" "MVP" And then I saw this.. http://www.masslive.com/sports/index.ssf/2008/08/bostons_dustin_pedroia_a_serio.html Am I the only one that thinks Pedroia getting the MVP would be the worse MVP voting in the history of baseball?
  3. HAHA! That is a awesome story..., My fav part? F: Thanks man... are you hammered right now? M: Yeah kinda, we're on our second bottle F: Yeah man, me too
  4. I don't agree with Sabathia throwing this many CG (except for today) but why is this just assumed that Sabathia got lit up from being overused? He did face the 2 of the best teams in the AL last year in the postseason. Okay, I guess he just can't beat good teams then. Anyway a point I saw brought up on BTF is that a big part of a no hitter is holding on to it as you start counting down outs late. CC didn't have that pressure because of the hit. He didn't have to worry about making his perfect pitches because he had nothing to pitch for. (And a logical manager wouldn't have had him pitching to begin with. Well obviously thats part of it, but if MLB does overturn the call its not going to matter because it will count as a no hitter. Yes, but SSR's point is a good one and I hope MLB takes it into account. Should CC get a no-hitter when he didn't really have to go through the same circumstances as others who have gotten no-hitters? It should make it into the discussion at least. I totally agree, also on the flip side.. Should CC not get a no hitter because some offical scorer gives a player a hit on a ball that could easily go as an error, more so than a hit? Its going to be interesting in what they do. I COULD see them overturning it and could also see them not as well.
  5. Because he threw 50 more innings than he had in the last several years. At this rate he's going to throw 15 more than last year. He's much higher on the PAP list this year. Sabathia in Sept. last year went.. 4-0 with a 2.37 ERA. But in the playoffs he went..1-2 with a 8.80 ERA. IMO it had to do more with him being excited to be in the playoffs and struggling, then his extra innings he pitched.

  8. If a guy goes into the hole, picks it and drops it on the exchange it's a hit. LaRoche gets the hit. It was the equivalent of a sac bunt. All Sabathia needed to do was pick it up (bare handed or not) throw the ball to 1st. LaRoche was not even half way to 1st when Sabathia grabbed the ball. If he does not bobble the ball he gets LaRoche (not the fastest player) easily. I don't think they will overturn the call however.
  9. Mets blowpen* does it again. * See what I did there? Because its suppose to be BULLpen. But since they keep losing I put in the word BLOW instead. Funny? Right?.. No? Oh.. Alright
  10. Ty Wigginton has a OPS of .916
  11. Elca might care....but yea... Even with the Brewers possibly making the playoffs, I care. (About the Packers) I can't wait for the NFL this year.
  12. Thank you for the link!
  13. Welcome to the 2008-2009 edition of the NFL. Thursday Sept. 4th Washington @ New York Giants - 6pm CDT Sunday Sept. 7th Noon Games Detriot @ Atlanta Seattle @ Buffalo New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins Cincinnati @ Baltimore Kansas City @ New England St. Louis @ Philadelphia Jacksonville @ Tennessee Houston @ Pittsburgh Tampa Bay @ New Orleans 3 O clock games Dallas @ Cleveland Arizona @ San Francisco Carolina @ San Diego Sunday Night Football Chicago @ Indianapolis Monday Night Football (Sept 8th) Minnesota @ Green Bay - 6pm Denver @ Oakland - 9pm http://the506.com/nflmaps/index.html I was also kinda intrested in having a NSBB NFL Pick "Em contest/Fun thing. If anyone is intrested or if there already is one. Please tell me or inform me.
  14. Ok well I have a question... Is anyone going to start a NFL Week 1 thread?
  15. Do the Rockies realize that Baseball is a 6 month regular season and not a month and a half? Im not complaining however because I have Atkins,Hawpe and Tavarez on my fantasy team.
  16. I hope so.. I mean, the CUBS can close the book on them. But the Brewers cant yet, Im starting to figure out why you guys hate the Cards so much.. Bunch of babies they are. No idea if you are referencing Wednesday night's game or not, but if so... I don't blame Pujols for yelling at Villanueva. That was uncalled for, posturing at the StL bench like that. I don't like the Cards much at all, but still. Don't blame Albert for standing up for his team. It has to do more then just that. I agree IF Villy was yelling at the bench (which I still dont think he was) he was out of line. But all they do is cry about everything. They talked about how they don't like us because we watch our homeruns and we untuck our jerseys. When Braun struck out in the 9th, Molina also started saying somethign when Braun was walking away. I just can't stand them. Haha, come on man. It was very obvious that he was gesturing towards the St. Louis bench, probably because of the Braun HBP. It could of been towards Kendall who made the catch.... ;)
  17. Dunn RBI double. 1-0.
  18. Twins 6 A's 0 B-2 Dodgers 0 D-Backs 0 B-4 Twins are trying to gain a game on the White Sox in the AL. I love March Maddness but... I belive September is the best time of year (for me at least)

  20. The Cubs are the best team in baseball (as hard as it is to say it). However, im not a big beliver in Run Differential, thats just me tho.

  22. Berkman you STUD!
  23. Great win for the Cubs. This is the kind of game that you remember for a while. Statement kind of win. During so far a magical season for the Cubs. I hate you guys.
  24. You can only see it happen so many times before it's not a surprise anymore. And of course the Cubs hit a grand slam and take the lead. I HATE RAMIREZ!!
  25. Dear Cubs, This whole scoring runs after the 7th inning, and having clutch home runs, and all that other stuff is getting old. Please, you can stop at any time now. Sincerely, The Rest of the NL. But seriously, Wrigley had to been a rockin' after that...
