  1. They led by 3 at home with a minute and change left, against a Boston team without Paul Pierce. Are you implying they won't go undefeated? I'm saying we're pretty good. Who is the "we" in that sentence?
  2. This gives me some hope. Link
  3. Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere... Basically just more speculation that the only reason Howard won't come to Chicago is his shoe deal...
  4. Boy, you showed him Mr Mod! well, moderator. we just say moderator. =D> =D> =D>
  5. I think he'll play. Bulls will win either way. Also, something I read on Twitter: Tuesday's Bulls game was the highest rated Chicago pre-season game... ever. EVER
  6. I just want to know where all those 85-year-old Wrigley Field ushers are going to relocate to when they show up two hours early to work for some reason.
  7. It's on WGN if you're in the Chicago area. It's also on NBA League Pass (free preview from now to Jan 8th)
  8. There's a game on right now and we don't have a thread?! The hell kind of message board is this?
  9. For a while MLBTV had archives of every game dating back to the beginning of the 2007 season. I kept telling myself that one day I'd go back and watch some highlights of 2008 (Cubs sweeping the Sox at Wrigley, the nine run comeback vs the Rockies, four game sweep in Milwaukee) but now I can't find any of them. I feel like Homer Simpson when he got to the mall after Mr. T had already left. :(
  10. Hamilton tweeted that there are three teams looking at him...
  11. Director of event operations/ security.
  12. http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/387509_10150456687438537_661588536_8339623_738638890_n.jpg
  13. driving sucks in chicago fixed I love driving in Chicago Me too actually, but most of my driving is around Wrigleyville/ Roscoe Village/ Lincoln Park. I would never ever drive downtown.
  14. generally don't like guys named jamie +1
  15. Several reports have come out tonight stating that the NBA regular season will kick off on Christmas Day. They expect to play a modified 66 game schedule. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
  16. PFT and the Fort Worth Star Telegram amongst others are also reporting this... so google tells me.... there are 727 articles... Plus B&B are sort of the anti-meatballs of radio. I think they invented the term meatball...
  17. It's a shame Roast will never see this. He thinks he's all cool now because he's got a girlfriend and stuff.
  18. Now I know what to get my dad for Christmas. Neat.
  19. I understand Jaramillo as they're paying him a ton regardless. Don't care either way about Strode. Not quite sure how I feel about Riggins. On one hand, maybe he can be blamed for Demspters struggles, but can he also be given credit for Samardzjia seemingly pulling it together? As for Listach, I'm not quite sure what the bench coach even does aside from take over when the manager gets booted. He seems like a smart and well respected baseball guy who could be a big league manager one day. If anyone ever sits in the seats near the Cubs bullpen, they will learn to love Lester Strode. Watching him harass the security guys is often more fun than the game.
  20. This. I actually prefer the wings at Wild Goose.
  21. Last year they were allowing everyone, including those with bleacher tickets, to enter in through the Captain Morgan Club at the same time as they opened the gates in the rest of the park. Most of the fans didn't know about this, and thus there would only be five-ten people in line there. I don't know if they're still doing that, but if they are it would be a great alternative to the bleacher line.
  22. I think the day-of tickets are sold at the same time the gates open... I think. I know for a fact they use the ticket windows on Waveland, across from the firehouse, between Gate K and Gate L.
  23. I'm interested to see what kind of reception Obama gets from all the rednecks.
  24. I actually sat in this same section and row last year for the game on Labor Day, and I was all ready to make thunder and lightning noises whenever Berkman came up, before I passed out drunk and woke up again in the 8th. Most disappointing day of my life.
  25. Ha, you can totally see me in the Randy Hundley pic! Guy on the left side walking under the press box, in full Cubs employee uniform, of course!
