    I guess it would have been more to the point to say the win streak won't end tomorrow, since it's OBVIOUSLY not over yet, but, eh, what are you gonna do?

    So I'm at this stage where I've already called off for tomorrow (with note from doctor as well), but I'm actually feeling fine now, so I can just stay up all night eating chocolate covered pretzels and watching my DVD's of The Simpsons Seasons 4-6! Could life get any better than this? Yes. Yes, it can, because the Cubs are still not in first place, but that's okay, for I am confident this win streak is not over yet!

    Well, I've never had a ''cold'' like this before, but more Cubs victories will certainly make me feel better... or at least won't make me feel any worse. Go Cubs!

    Well, it turns out I just have a really bad cold (102.8 temperature and dangerously low blood pressure), which is a relief because I was just telling one of my friends last week how "swine flu" would probably be the most embarassing name of a disease that somebody could die from.

    Sorry it took me so long to get this up, but I have the flu! I don't yet know if it's the SCHVEIN (/Terry Boers), but I guess I'll find out in a couple hours when I go see the doctor. And since I'm 99% sure the reason I have this is from working for the Cubs, they owe me a few more wins, right?

    As one of the great television icons of my generation, Homer Simpson, once remarked, "Awww, CRAP." I really didn't want to be starting game threads so soon. However, the fact that I just subconsciously made that plural reminds me that I'm always awesome in game threads, and specifically game threads against the Brew Crew... "The Crew," if you will, and I won't, because that's a total d-bag phrase like "I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'," or "Ryan Braun." Cubs win this one, I start another thread tomorrow night with a link to a music video whose title somehow relates to the world of sports, then they win at least two more while I continue to struggle to think of things to say. I don't know if there are any moms on this board, but Happy Mother's Day!

    Has anyone heard anything as far as first pitch, national anthem, 7th inning stretch, etc.? It seems like we usually know further in advance for the opener.

    I haven't seen a thread about this yet, and didn't want to start one, but since we're on the topic of changes around Wrigley, in addition to the Captain Morgan Club, the upper deck balcony is sponsored by Smirnoff, and we are going to have "rolling liquor carts" around the park.

    And I guess this would be as good a time as any to give a shoutout to Roast, who's been really awesome with giving me advice about the job fair, the interviews, and training, and everything else! Thanks, Roast!

    lol, yeah. Problem is anyone can do that. It is really awesome to sit there and watch pitchers (i.e. Zambrano) take BP and crush one after another onto the street. That's actually something that fan's can' do. OOps. I guess what I meant to say is that, yeah, I plan to head inside the park at like 10:30 or so, and eat my breakfast in section 204, just because I can. That's not something everyone can do.
