  1. Blue Jays down 9-7 bottom of the 9th against David Robertson and the White Sox. Josh Thole single Jose Reyes double Josh Donaldson 3-run walk off home run Donaldson's line for the night: 4-4, 2B, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 5 R, BB
  2. Aaron Barrett is on my fantasy team. I'm not even mad.
  3. That's super weird. Usually text glitches with apostrophes will yield a / instead, but I've never seen that O thing.
  4. You know who wouldn't jump at it? The Reds. Hard to determine the value since it was also a salary dump deal... but you could argue the best player the Braves got back for Kimbrel was Matt Wisler. McKinney is likely a much better prospect. And he'll probably also be MLB ready sometime next year, is a LF'er, and wouldn't ya know it, Marlon Byrd is a FA after this season and the Reds will need a LF'er. They might not jump at just McKinney, but it likely wouldn't take much more than adding someone like Lake and/or Corey Black or something along those lines to get it done if I had to guess. As dominating as Chapman is, he only pitches 60 innings a year. A Top 50 prospect and some moderately useful filler should be more than enough for 1 1/2 years of Chapman. And McKinney might have a chance to be a Top 25 prospect by year's end if he starts hitting for some more power at AA, which I imagine he will before the year's over.
  5. Just the basic FG defensive metrics... Rankings NL/MLB UZR: -2.1 | 13th/20th UZR/150: -5.5 | 10th/17th DEF: -0.1 | 13th/20th
  6. LOL, didn't Aramis say he's retiring at the end of the year?
  7. I was kinda expecting/hoping for Soler to have at least 5 or 6 HR by the end of April. I'm pretty confident his 57.3 AB/HR rate will eventually straighten itself out, but it's been pretty upsetting so far this season.
  8. I'd give them a good bit if we could get our hands on Carlos Gomez.
  9. And they're hitting dongs. Lots of them.
  10. Wilson is right about context though. There's nothing wrong with wins as a statistic, it's the perception of its value in determining a players worth which is messed up. There's still too many people who use it to define pitcher success, and that's the problem, not the stat.
  11. The front slow angle was the best one, you see it clearly go below his bat, and the ball trajectory changes as it goes by his forearm
  12. That was below the bat, hit his forearm
  13. They had Grimm warming up so I'd imagine so.
  14. It's not buffering, the frame rate seems to have suddenly decreased. Strangely, the ads run seamlessly... Mine is playing fine, and I don't have any ads.
  15. My MLB.tv has been fine with a few buffering hiccups here and there, but nothing catastrophic
  16. In fun news, Dexter Fowler has matched his SB output from last season already. He had 11 stolen bases in 15 attempts in all of 2014 (116 games). He's got 11 stolen bases in 15 attempts this season in 41 games.
