  1. I'll be happy if he cracks 100 again in this run environment, but I sure miss the days of 130 RBI's being the norm for good hitters.
  2. Hawk calls a Mark Canha home run a can of corn: http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/0/v577028183/cwsoak-hawk-calls-canhas-shot-can-of-corn
  3. Leave it to Harold Reynolds and the MLB tonight crew to say its the fault of inexperience. Apparently a true left fielder wouldn't have collided with Dex, who was apparently without fault.
  4. Literally the very first AB of the season you oblivious wieners http://m.mlb.com/video/v573658083/chclaa-fowler-picks-up-three-hits-scores-thrice/?query=dexter+fowler
  5. I love how they so desperately don't want to start Jedd Gyorko. They acquire him to be a bench player, Peralta goes down. They say "Gyorko will start in his place". A few days later they acquire Ruben Tejada and he's the starting SS. Ruben Tejada goes down with an injury, Gyorko becomes the starter. A couple days later they call up a SS who's only had 58 AB's above AA, and they're still starting Gyorko but you just know they wish they didn't have to. I love it.
  6. is that something he did with Joe back in Tampa?
  7. Isn't the opposite of average still average since it falls in the middle of quality scale? I think the opposite of the definition of average is the antonym of average which according to the internet is abnormal. http://i.imgur.com/TTyTv.gif
  8. Goose Gossage crimsoned his face real good.

  10. Did rizzo modify his stance a bit or is that just the camera angle getting more of his stance?
  11. Even a guy who can crush 50 HR in the KBO is no lock for that many homers. He does have a larger build though so who knows maybe he's different, but history would suggest that the power won't translate to that many homers, but there really aren't many WC guys this season who you can count on for that many homers to begin with. plenty of guys with the power to do so (Gallo, Soler, etc.), but no guarantee for playing time or success. Almost went with Conforto. Avoided Seager because I thought he would be the consensus WC pick and wanted somebody else so I wouldn't be gaining points with everyone at the same time... and I end up picking the guy who was picked the most, lol. Love sneaky's pick though. I'm big on Domingo Santana and completely blanked on him choosing this. That's a good pick.
  12. It's not that special. You say that like jars of pee ain't no thang.
  13. It's not that special.
  14. Atlanta, I believe.
  15. I found the original link via the NSBB archives, but it doesn't play a video anymore :/
  16. Couldn't find one, but to be fair, I was looking for this specific video because the noise level and fan reactions make it more goosebump worthy, IMO.
  17. comparables Baez: Brandon_Wood http://i.imgur.com/0MWH9MV.gif
  18. This one was pretty good:
  19. Something about his stuff playing better in the bullpen and being given a shot later in the year. I'm miffed at this because I picked him up this offseason in my keeper league as one of my back end rotation guys and now between three of my pitchers starting the year on the DL and this Bauer business, I'm only gonna have 4 starters on opening day. The reason given on the news clip about it was that Cody Anderson and Josh Tomlin have "opened some eyes" over the last couple of weeks which is why they moved Bauer to the bullpen. Meanwhile, in the real world... Cody Anderson Spring Training stats: 18.0 IP 15:4 K:BB 5.50 ERA Josh Tomlin Spring Training stats: 17.1 IP 19:3 K:BB 4.67 ERA Trevor Bauer Spring Training stats: 20.0 IP 19:4 K:BB 2.25 ERA Bauer lost two of two available rotation spots to two guys who have been vastly inferior to him this spring because of him apparently being better suited for a bullpen role and the other guys impressing people. How they were impressing people I'm not sure, but yeah. Cody Anderson has a career K/9 in the minors of 6.8 and his K/9 last season in 15 starts in the majors was 4.3, but yeah he's had some eye popping horsefeathers going on these last couple of weeks apparently.
  20. Back to the Gyorko store for them
  21. But I'm the only one with Rizzo. You fools.

  23. I see the Chicago natives on here rave about Hot Doug's. Genuinely curious as to what sets them apart from the others?
