  1. Agreed, I would definitely give Bill Hall a shot. With the way Hall has regressed, I thyink I'd be more comfortable giving the spot to Vitters at this point if it opened up. Hall is... blech
  2. That ballpark looks incredible. I'd rather visit that one instead of some major league ballparks
  3. But, but, but... Bill Hall is the best third baseman in major league baseball :( If Aramis ends up on the DL again I can see Hendry trying to pick him up if he's still available EDIT: They also gave their pitching coach the boot...
  4. If he has indeed put it together and can provide some sort of big league power, he'd probably make a nice DH for the Jays. With Rios gone they can slot Lind back in the OF with the callup of Snider and put Dopirak at DH if they feel he's ready to contribute. IIRC, Dopirak had pretty mediocre defensive skills, he'd probably make an ideal DH if he can provide 20-30HR power.
  5. If the pecking order for the 3B depth chart goes something like Miles/Fontenot/Fox, I won't be surprised. Disappointed yes... surprised, not so much
  6. I've got a pretty good idea what happened after he got dropped off at the the strip club. I'm betting he scored two kinds of blow that night. HEY-O!!!!!
  7. Most of my teams, both baseball and football, amongst my friends used to be the Chicago S***kickers, but I kept coming in last, so someone suggested I take "Chicago" out of the team name because I was cursed... so I did and ever since I've been a contender each year. No joke. This is top notch. I might join a public league just to use this
  8. Here's a fluff piece on why Ryan Braun is awesome and there's nothing we can do about it http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4379572
  9. Wow. That's a jawdroppingly ridiculous call
  10. The initial post led me to believe that the guy fell over in the stand somewhere onto the walkway in front of his seats or something, or over one of the levels, like a decently sized fall. I had no idea it was over the field barrier a whopping 4 feet onto dirt. That's pathetic. Yeah sure, help the guy out because his face is bleeding, but the douche managed to turn something that probably wouldn't harm a child into a catastrophe. You have to be some kind of stupid to do that. But kudos to Pujols for being a class act. I respect the guy a lot, this only further cements that respect. But yeah that guy is a dolt. Did he forget he has arms that he could've used to break his fall instead of his face?
  11. Mini sized cheeseburger specialist Michael Weurtz
  12. probably a lot of extreme flaws in this analysis, but it was a really fun read. thanks for the link
  13. Thirded. I'd do it twice
  14. Kyle Blanks has 6 home runs his last 15 games. A lot of them have been mammoth shots. https://secure.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200907295806313&c_id=sd If this kid gets regular playing time he's gonna be hitting Adam Dunn-esque home runs for a long long time
  15. You're talking about the Cubs, when can we not have enough left handers in the pen?
  16. I'm pretty sure Truffle and I have the same exact team as well.
  17. Sure, but so did the fact that he was the starting ASG catcher, and had terrific numbers for a his position. Who was his closest competition? Joey Votto Yeah, Votto actually had slightly better numbers than Soto last year, but Soto put the numbers up at a typically offensive starved position where his numbers were some of the best in the majors whereas Votto's were par for the course at his position. That played a lot into it. If you go solely off numbers, Votto would've had Soto beat, but factor in defense and position and Soto was a no brainer I think you are giving the vast majority of people that vote on these sorts of things far too much credit Touche

  19. My brother is convinced the Cubs are bringing him back and that he is still awesome.
  20. He's being pissy because he's been benched 3 of the last 4 games http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4372548 Don't wanna get benched? Try not having a .330 slugging percentage
  21. Wade Davis? Probably a brain fart. Meant to say Townsend, said Davis instead?
  22. No problem!
