  1. Dude just loves cats.
  2. Random thought: Why did BP stop the Hacking Mass fantasy competition?
  3. 6 Ks in his last 30 PAs He was K'ing once every 3.3 PA's last year. In 420 PA's last year he had 126 K's. At this pace he'd have 84. I'll gladly take it.
  4. It's okay, he's gonna hit 40 home runs and still not draw any walks in that ballpark.
  5. BLURT ME A PM DON'T DO IT, THIS IS WAR AND THERE ARE NO ALLIANCES
  6. I got 3 words: Three. Team. Trade.
  7. Yeah if you want prospects Bowman is the way to go, but like illiniguy said you'd be better off trying to get packs from his first year. For starters the cards would be more valuable, and 2nd you know they'd be there since it's his first year and Bowman prides themselves on being the first RC of every new player.
  8. YESSSSSSS, I've missed out on this last year. Group A: Chris Davis Group B: Prince Fielder, Mark Trumbo Group C: Giancarlo Stanton, Hanley Ramirez, Anthony Rizzo Group D: Wil Myers, Albert Pujols, Yasiel Puig, Eric Hosmer, Josh Reddick WILD CARD: PM'd
  9. Turner did well out of the gate when the Marlins called him up last season. He had a 2.68 ERA in 77 IP over his first 12 games. He had pretty bad control overall though. 4.1 BB/9. That said, he's still just 22 and has a the top prospect pedigree. I mentioned in the other thread I thought Vogelbach might be too much, then I took it back. Turner is too young to write off, and his upside will likely always be there. Then again, he's had shoulder issues and if that shoulder gives out then he's toast. He'd be a risky acquisition because he'd probably cost someone like Vogelbach, who should be able to pull in someone a little more reliable IMO, and he might end up completely useless vs. inefficient. If he'd be inefficient that's just him not being able to live up to the hype, but if he simply can't play then we just wasted Vogelbach.
  10. Because Frank Thomas is one of the best hitters of all-time? Nah, I think I just like that he noticed the back leg kick out and when he mentioned Frank Thomas I couldn't not think of Frank Thomas after seeing it. It was a pretty spot on observation.

  12. I don't know why but the Frank Thomas swing comp made me happy
  13. What in the actual hell? I didn't see this here. Possible we just gave him away? It's not like he's got value on his own. guys, he died have some respect We better not have traded his life away for some respect. That's an awful deal.
  14. Turner has had some shoulder concerns, and that concerns me, though I'd love to acquire him because why the hell not? The question is how valuable is he now? I can't really tell. I don't think Barney and some prospects is enough, but I also feel like a one-on-one swap with Vogelbach is too much. Is that crazy? I think it is, and I just can't gauge his value. EDIT: Looking at his numbers... yeah he'd cost more.
  15. Brett Jackson? http://i.imgur.com/9PM4tqV.gif
  16. Giansanti? He's a dead man.
  17. He only hits home runs when no one is on base. He clearly doesn't care about putting forth the effort to contribute until it doesn't matter. [/futurechicagomedia]
  18. would it kill them to show the replay in slow mo? They probably do but for some reason MLB.com keeps cutting off the highlights super short in spring training. Usually during the season they'll hit the home run, wait for them to round the bases, catch the replay, and end the video. In spring training they've barely waited for them to touch home plate, if at all, before cutting the video off
  19. Definitely this. He was still considered one of the top pitching prospects in baseball at the time of the trade. Regardless of what occurred after the trade, at the time it was made his value was way more than Didi Gregorius. We might as well have given them Barney for him.
  20. Somewhat related... BUT HE'S GOT DEREK JETER POTENTIAL!!!! I still can't believe Towers made that trade.
  21. dat sound Ball truly sounds different off his bat than most other players The Olt HR sounds much more potent, but he got a lot better contact on the ball
  22. Tell that to Michael Young and Ian Kinsler
