Fox spent TONS of money to get FS1 going...if they didn't put any big time sports on there, they'd have nothing at all. Everything else gets horsefeathers ratings. They want it to compete with ESPN. And nobody complains if a playoff game is on ESPN. They risk pissing off some people that don't have FS1, but the hope is that customers will complain to the carriers, who will add the channel and pass the costs on to the subscriber. "What the horsefeathers is FS1?" would be my carrier's reaction. 8-) MLB.TV all the way here (although one of the Dutch channels usually carries the WS)
I mean, it's not as weird as handball, so it's got that going for it. It's actually a lot of fun to play. It's not as weird as Irish Curling or whatever they call that insane sport where they kill each with sticks. I think you mean hurling
Seriously, hockey twitter keeps trying to make this seem like a big deal and who cares. Field hockey is a fine sport. This event should have clarified they were talking about the "ice" version.
Entry system to CL about to change: Evolution of UEFA club competitions from 2018 Yeah, right. UEFA caves in to the demands of the big four leagues. If you're not from England, Germany, Italy or Spain, then FO.
