  1. Rose already turns it over less then Wade.
  2. Why not? When Wade was Rose's age, he was averaging 17 points a game in Conference USA. Because you can't just look at what guys did at the same age and say they're likely to improve at the same rate? Dwyane Wade didn't have a decent shot at being as good as Wade is now. No, you can't. But you can look at a lot of other factors and make an educated guess at how good at player might become. By the way, Rose's rookie year is really similar to Wade's. Per 36 minute stats.... Rose (age 20): 16.3 points, 6.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 turnovers, .516 TS% Wade (age 22): 16.8 points, 4.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 turnovers, .530 TS% Given Rose's physical gifts, his work ethic and the fact the posted a very similar rookie season to Wade (slightly less efficient scorer; better distributor with fewer turnovers) despite being two years younger, it's fair to say he has a "decent" chance to be as good as Wade.
  3. It is now 1173.

  5. I don't think AST-TO ratio is very relevant for shooting guards, especially when their primary duty is to score. I think Gordon is a really valuable player, but I understand his limited appeal. I'm kind of intrigued by a bigger lineup with Salmons at SG and Deng at SF, but does anyone trust Deng to stay healthy? If Gordon isn't resigned, the SG-SF depth is really thin. On a totally different note, given how the Bulls got hammered on the boards by the Celtics, I'd love to see the Bulls find a way to draft Dejuan Blair.
  6. Honestly, the first thing the Bulls need to do this offseason is find a real head coach. I know that's not happening, but Vinny is as bad as it gets. He has no plan for anything.
  7. Why am I looking at a random Sean May photo from several years ago?
  8. But see, none of this stuff matters, and all of it was obscuring the fact he's really, really, really good at basketball. If people had been paying attention all season they would have seen this.
  9. I'm glad someone created another thread to say this. Very useful.
  10. Agreed. And really, he's been doing this all year, at least when Del Negro gave him the minutes. It's nice to see him get some recognition finally from some folks who maybe didn't appreciate his contributions to the team. It's very clear that he's a legitimate NBA center, and I'm excited to have him on the Bulls for years to come.
  11. How old and slow is Paul Pierce at this point?
  12. Falling into the elbow leading Pierce you mean? He wasn't leading with his elbow. Nobody jumps with their arms flat at their sides.
  13. Even Bill Simmons thinks Rondo should be suspended for his foul:
  14. Ultimately it doesn't matter because win or lose the Celtics are going win as many NBA Championships as the Bulls will this season - 0. I didn't expect much from the Bulls this series, I'd only like to see them win to stick it to Garnett. All his antics and crap, gosh I would have loved to see him pull that sh*t on MJ. MJ would have not only beaten him, he would have rubbed it in his face for good measure. I personally was disgusted by KG's nut grabbing in game 4. Must be fun to be a part-time troll.
  15. Maybe Lou's doghouse only has healthy foods, so Geo can drop 15 pounds.
  16. Ah, gotcha. For the record, I don't have a beef with the refs in this series. There have been plenty of bad calls, but they've gone both ways. The Miller play from last night is a debatable call in terms of a flagrant, but I understand the reality of that not being called in Boston, with 10 seconds left. If they're in Chicago, maybe it gets called. That's how the NBA works. The Bulls lost because they couldn't stop Paul Pierce down the stretch. They need to play better in Game 6.
  17. No, we're looking at the current-makeup Celtics shooting fewer free throws than the current-makeup Bulls (about 22.5 to 26). And the Bulls have shot 2.6 more free throws per game than the Celtics in the playoffs. We're looking at a 1 free throw difference. Right. And you were the one who originally brought up the Bulls shooting more free throws than the Celtics, like it meant something.

  19. Over the entire season, yes. But when Garnett went out, they became more perimeter-oriented and their attempts dropped from about 26 a game to 22.5 per game. The Bulls' attempt ticked up just a tiny bit with the addition of Miller and Salmons, as well as Rose going to the basket more late in the season.
  20. At his arm? http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/3280/bullsnofoul.gif Rondo was about four feet from the basketball.
  21. You really think FTs attempted mean anything? There's a lot to consider besides just that. You really think the Bulls are much if at all more of a penetration/post team? The only guy on the Celtics who consistently gets to the line is Pierce and Rondo, to some extent. Powe shot the second-most free throws per game on the Celtics and he's out. Parkins and Davis don't get to the line. Gordon, Miller, Salmons, Tyrus and Rose (especially later in the season) all do a pretty good job getting to the line. Plus, the Bulls have been really aggressive offensively this series, going to the basket a lot. I don't think it's surprising they're shooting more free throws.
  22. I just like the name Johnny Knox. Sounds porn-y.
