  1. except that it does come into effect because it influences the preseason rankings... A team ranked high like Florida will have a harder time dropping out of the top 25 than a team ranked around #20 or so at the beginning of the season. If you start the year outside the top 15 or so, you have to have an incredible season to be considered for the national championship because you have to climb in the rankings
  2. wow.... if you're going to throw it away, throw it away
  3. and he'd still be light years better than Matt Cassell
  4. ugh, still gonna end up getting 3
  5. wow, Moore with 2 INTs just from being in the right place at the right time
  6. they're going to have to throw those quick passes all game
  7. holding was offset by personal foul. It's always been like that. yeah, I worded that wrong... but it just seemed odd that those would be offsetting... oh well, doesn't really matter because they wouldn't have gotten anything anyway
  8. a personal foul is offset by holding?
  9. Nathan Scheelhaase (ILL QB) is going to get himself killed... He's tried to jump over defenders at least 3 times already in this game... he's athletic enough to get away with it against NIU maybe, but if he tries to do that against a defense like Ohio State or Iowa he'll get drilled
  10. in addition, the Cowboys were missing one of the greatest running backs of all time...
  11. As opposed to Mark "perfect mechanics" Prior. Prior's mechanics were exceptional until his non-pitching-related injuries messed him up and he started compensating for various things and his body just broke down... besides, whether your mechanics are good or not, pitching is just not a natural motion and injuries just happen
  12. It's a stupid rule, but it is the rule apparently... that rule has to be changed
  13. Forte fumble... it's coming
  14. the Lions hurrying to get the snap off saved a bad Lovie challenge
  15. what an awful decision and throw
  16. i agree with all of this wholeheartedly.
  17. Illinois covering way too soft this drive
  18. Pittsburgh is putting on a clinic. You can tell they have been here before.
  19. dude was only 20 games under with what may just be the worst offensive team in the majors during his tenure... i think he got the short end of he stick; and without knowing anything about his coaching style or really anything about him, i wouldn't be upset to hear his name come up for the Cubs vacancy in the offseason
  20. Jon Greenberg on ESPNChicago on Reinsdorf's pitch... You know, I hate that we didn't get LeBron, but I feel that Reinsdorf and Co. did what they needed to do to put themselves in a position to get him, but he apparently just didn't want to be "The Man" even though he's been calling himself "King James" since he was 16
  21. I think his argument would be that Pierce was either the 1st, or 1a with Garnett
  22. and once more, SCREW YOU GHANA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
