  1. We'll always have he ESPN made for tv mini-series to remember him by
  2. Wasn't that Jason Bere? Or did he have a different special pitch? Ah, you may be right. So tough to keep all of those mediocre late 90's pitchers straight
  3. I can't wait for Wade's shoulder to explode and for that team go be starting two replacement level players every night
  4. as has the NBA slam dunk competition
  5. Spain's "ball control" style was like watching college basketball teams pass around the arc for 30 seconds before shooting
  6. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
  7. all of them
  8. STONEWALLED
  9. nothing is going to happen about this it's not impossible, contracts have been nullified before and teams punished. if it's believed that player collusion happened, they can penalize miami and force the players to go elsewhere. which would be awesome. right, but finding proof is nearly impossible besides hearsay, so it won't happen
  10. nothing is going to happen about this
  11. Frank Castillo's "Fosh", IMO
  12. I think the day games are more of a factor in the teams keeping a consistent schedule. When you have a 1:20pm game, you are at the ballpark relatively early in the morning. When your games are at 7pm, you get to the ballpark in the early to mid afternoon. Most teams play 5-6 night games per week, plus a Sunday matinee, so their week-to-week "work" schedule is fairly consistent (traveling between timezones notwithstanding, as every team has to do that). So basically, most teams consistently work the 2nd shift, while the Cubs are constantly switching between the 1st and 2nd shift.
  13. So is this contest canceled since da bum was banned?
  14. I've seen mention of Josh Childress, who played overseas last season. any thoughts?
  15. good for Texas. I admire a team going for it when they things are going their way (for once)
  16. was he stealing fruit-by-the-foot?
  17. any chance the Cavs can swoop in and nab Carmelo now?
  18. Time to cash in on the bitterness! http://kissmyasslebron.bigcartel.com/
  19. the faux outrage on Facebook is glorious.
  20. apparently Miller had an offer on the table from the Heat......contingent on James NOT signing. That offer is obviously gone now
  21. so the PPG average on these 3 guys goes down, what, 5-8 points per guy? Anyone who thinks all 3 of these guys are going to maintain their career scoring averages is nuts
  22. completely incorrect - James is better than Wade - Pippen wasn't ever considered best in the league - Pippen didn't win 2 MVP's on his own team before joining Jordan - James is really, really better than Wade
  23. Always? Lebron is what, 3 years younger? Unless he wins one by being the main option of a team when he's 35, he'd remain behind Wade on the legacy totem pole. people who use rings as a legacy scorecard are idiots So you honestly believe LeBron would have a better resume than Wade? People will write the history however they see fit. You could say "Wade couldn't win a title until the Heat got Shaq, and he couldn't win another until the Heat got James". Who cares? LeBron just wants to get the "never won a title" monkey off his back
  24. And he'll always have one less ring than D-Wade. Nothing like being the second option on your own team for being a guy that wants to be the best player ever. Always? Lebron is what, 3 years younger? Unless he wins one by being the main option of a team when he's 35, he'd remain behind Wade on the legacy totem pole. people who use rings as a legacy scorecard are idiots
