  1. All things being equal, players will always choose cool cities over cleveland
  2. And Jamesapproved it because his first 50 choices didn't/wouldn't come. No one wants to play in that city
  3. LeBron had significant input on all those transactions. And he also hamstrung the team by taking shorter contracts himself. Oh come on. You think Cleveland management went to James to see who he wanted and he said Jamison?
  4. This all seems to be a pretty bad indictment of Cleveland. LeBron is the best player in the league, yet the Cavs couldn't get anyone to play with him. If you're LeBron and the best your team can do for you is a broken Shaq and a fifty year old Antawn Jamison, wouldn't you leave too?
  5. The current CBA allows for non-guaranteed contracts, but no one ever offers them (as no one will sign them). Same with MLB, if you can believe it
  6. We'll always have he ESPN made for tv mini-series to remember him by
  7. Wasn't that Jason Bere? Or did he have a different special pitch? Ah, you may be right. So tough to keep all of those mediocre late 90's pitchers straight
  8. I can't wait for Wade's shoulder to explode and for that team go be starting two replacement level players every night
  9. as has the NBA slam dunk competition
  10. Spain's "ball control" style was like watching college basketball teams pass around the arc for 30 seconds before shooting
  11. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
  12. all of them
  13. STONEWALLED
  14. nothing is going to happen about this it's not impossible, contracts have been nullified before and teams punished. if it's believed that player collusion happened, they can penalize miami and force the players to go elsewhere. which would be awesome. right, but finding proof is nearly impossible besides hearsay, so it won't happen
  15. nothing is going to happen about this
  16. Frank Castillo's "Fosh", IMO
  17. I think the day games are more of a factor in the teams keeping a consistent schedule. When you have a 1:20pm game, you are at the ballpark relatively early in the morning. When your games are at 7pm, you get to the ballpark in the early to mid afternoon. Most teams play 5-6 night games per week, plus a Sunday matinee, so their week-to-week "work" schedule is fairly consistent (traveling between timezones notwithstanding, as every team has to do that). So basically, most teams consistently work the 2nd shift, while the Cubs are constantly switching between the 1st and 2nd shift.
  18. So is this contest canceled since da bum was banned?
  19. I've seen mention of Josh Childress, who played overseas last season. any thoughts?
  20. good for Texas. I admire a team going for it when they things are going their way (for once)
  21. was he stealing fruit-by-the-foot?
  22. any chance the Cavs can swoop in and nab Carmelo now?
  23. Time to cash in on the bitterness! http://kissmyasslebron.bigcartel.com/
  24. the faux outrage on Facebook is glorious.
  25. apparently Miller had an offer on the table from the Heat......contingent on James NOT signing. That offer is obviously gone now
