The Cubs don't have to budge an inch. They can easily walk away and leave Boston in a lurch (PR nightmare, pissed off Epstein, etc.) As has been said before, the Cubs have options, while the Red Sox have nothing but a headache

If Boston didn't want Theo to go, they should have simply said "no" when the Cubs asked to interview him. This retroactive [expletive] about suddenly "needing" all this compensation is a load of crap.

Spielman is a meatball. He's on the radio in Columbus almost every day, and he's said several times that he wouldn't let his kids go to Michigan, even with a full ride scholarship

Permanent. I feel like 2/3rds of the top 25 non-mod posters on NSBB would be disqualified if you counted temporary bans.
