    I barely even read the Cubs Discussion board at all anymore. It's nothing but Kyle, jersey and David having the same circular argument in every [expletive] thread, all of which make me want to inject heroin into my forehead. I watched all of three games last season and I might bet the under on that this year

    because they're scoring over and over but in the NHL, you cycle through new guys. If it goes 7 or 8 "innings", you're 3rd SO skater doesn't do innings 3-8

    Kane vs. Bobrovsky.....that's a fun matchup. Tried going 5-hole and got stonewalled

    I think interference getting called more consistently also helps the pace. I think that is something the NHL could easily do and have at times tried, but do not carry through. I just love that it makes forechecking/line clogging a bigger risk, because if you whiff, you get burned. It speeds up the action and keeps it from just being dump and chase/tie-up on the wall hockey

    So any chance the NHL moves to the bigger ice? I guess some arenas might not be able to accommodate it, but it's such a beautiful thing to watch

    We've got a chain called Donato's that makes amazing pepperoni pizza. They put a million slices on, and the pepperoni is really crispy, which is amazing

    In non-beer news, apparently the NCAA is considering a rule that would make it illegal to snap the ball for 10 seconds after it's spotted and the play clock starts. This is to make it "fair" for defenses to have time to substitute players. In other words, Nick Saban bitches loudly about no-huddle offenses and the NCAA bows down to it

    you act like you're surprised every single game. it's always awful, so the good teams gameplan for it. if the refs are going to let you flop, flop like crazy good games "game plan" for bad officiating? and flopping? how's that work, john wooden jr.? I'm saying that at some point, one has to make the bad officiating work for you instead of bitching about it. Sadly, it's now just an expected part of the game. So yes, if the refs are going to reward flopping, why wouldn't you flop in a close game? How is that any different than holding the [expletive] out of people in football if the refs are going to allow it?
