  1. Jordan dominated in an era of great centers. At 6'6", he thrived in the post against amazing defenders. LeBron is a freak of nature, but who is challenging him in the lane?
  2. a $12m salary for his age 35 season makes the contract a lot less desirable? that's pretty small potatoes unless he becomes completely unproductive in 5 years. Speed guys tend to not be so speedy by that age. And it only takes 550 PA for the option to kick in. It's not a terrible option for a larger market team, but the Indians may regret it. Apparently it's the reason the Mets cooled on the deal
  3. Bourn's vesting option makes that contract a lot less desirable, IMO
  4. That's unfortunate and awkward even WITHOUT the PSU connection
  5. He should have special hitting sessions with Cory Snider and Pete Incavigilia
  6. Blue Jackets FINALLY fire their GM
  7. Does that mean the SEC teams will now schedule 3 per yet instead of 2?
  8. Giving your fan base blue balls isn't a great marketing strategy [expletive] that nonsense; the point is that he needs to get back out there just to get back into the swing of things quicker. Sitting him the whole year if he's actually healthy for part of it accomplishes [expletive] all. If you bring back Rose for the regular season and it gets you, say a #3 seed in the playoffs, then you sit him, that seems like a royal tease. I'd rather sit him UNTIL the playoffs and see if you can't catch lightning in a bottle.

  10. Sure, but the Big Ten wont get that luxury unless the other schools improve. I'm not saying he's being altruistic here, but he's not wrong about the conferences strength vs. the SEC
  11. He's not wrong. He's lapping the field in recruiting already, and the overall B1G recruiting is pretty awful Lapping the field? He's a new coach at one if the top historical programs coming off a 12-win season. And UM is just a few spots behind OSU. Plus, has he really recruited better than Tressel did most years? He landed a pretty puff gig. Let's see him land a top-10 class at Purdue and then run his mouth. Exactly. Derwood could land a top-10 class at OSU. They always recruit well and the state of Ohio is one of the best in terms of high school talent. How many out of state 4 and 5 stars did he sign? 13. How many did Hoke? His point is that the Big Ten (or any other conference) will continue to be second rate to the SEC as long as the middle and bottom schools make far better efforts in recruiting. He doesn't even touch on how little effort some schools put into coaching and facilities

  13. I'd like Boozer 100x more if her just once go strong to the basket. Is there another power forward in the league who dunks less than Boozer? I'm tired of him going up soft and then whining about no calls
  14. can't catch a pass to save his life
  15. i'm glad the illini get some credit from you. It's about time, what with all the credit and praise you've been lavishing on IU all season
  16. Felix already has a 31.5 career WAR and he's only 26
  17. Just saw the final shot. I mean, there's falling asleep on defense, and then there's THAT
  18. Donkey Teeth
  19. That's why I was asking about the cap space. I don't keep track of these things. OL is definitely a bigger priority.
  20. Do you think Marshall, Jeffrey and a pile of poop is a good enough receiving corps?
  21. Why? why what? why cut him or why sign him?
  22. If the Ravens cut Boldin, do the Bears have the cap space to make a run?
  23. PSU landing the #1 pocket passer (Hackenberg) is pretty remarkable. I wonder if he starts immediately
  24. Why would anyone want Hester as the returner? I mean, he HAS mastered the art of dancing around, losing 10 yards and getting tackled......
  25. Because you can't be on the cover of a video game and still be in college... :banghead: I knew that :banghead: Since this is open to public vote, will Denard win in a landslide? Unless it just splits up regionally, I don't see a lot of names on that list that are well known. If you asked me what team EJ Manuel was on, I wouldn't have been able to tell you. Of course, this was probably Te'o's cover to lose this year.....
