Avoided? No. But I do feel like the % of 1st round busts is larger among the 7'+ crowd. And I do think you need to exercise more caution, if only for the fact that big men are more injury prone. Even the non-busts (like Noah, for example) are going to miss time due to thinks like Plantar Fascitis, arthritis, etc. simply due to their freakish size. This all stemmed from the fact that I think Noel is a questionable pick at #1 overall this year.

Where di I say that draft busts are exclusive to big men? I don't know. I also don't know where I said that in the post you just quoted. you said I'm dancing around the idea that busts are going to happen with players of all types

And I don't think every big man is bad either. I just see a lot of mediocre players being drafted in the 1st round simply because they're 7'+.

The point is that Wolf's cute little Photoshop pointed to the exceptions, not the rule And? If you arbitrarily changed it to, say, "don't draft anyone over 6'8"" you'd get even more busts; the point is that it's foolish to seemingly automatically pass on someone because of how tall they are. Plus you realize superstars are inherently the exceptions regardless of their height, right? It's also foolish to value a player simply because he's 7 feet tall
