Lol I can't see any way 3 big ten teams get in especially when 2 of them didn't even play in the conference title game. I've been seeing Michigan Twitter coming up with scenarios where Michigan gets in but while they seem plausible I'm not going to get my hopes up at all. It's not happening For me, Michigan should be ahead of Penn State unless Penn St annihilates Wisconsin similar to what OSU did a couple years ago. At least by score, Wisconsin and Michigan were close. But Penn State winning a conference title doesn't outweigh a 49-10 beating. They lost to Iowa so that argument is moot. Penn State has just one conference loss to Michigan's two. PSU's second loss was a 3 point loss to Pitt back in week two. I don't think the Michigan head to head win holds up if PSU beats Wisconsin

Hah. I've watched like one quarter of UCLA football (and watched no Bears football and about 2 minutes of Bulls basketball) ever since the playoffs started. Still can't get invested. I don't know how anyone can care about the Bears at all this year.

I don't think Penn State will be in the discussion at all. But this is shaping up to be a chaotic playoff selection which is great if you want to see them expand to eight teams. Hearing them say how much they weigh winning conference championship games, but then picking a non-champ over the champ (who beat the non-champ) creates enough controversy to grease the skids for an eight game playoff (eventually)

You would think they would lose to OSU, but here we are Hey I'm rooting for you guys at least as someone who can lessen the downside of potentially losing to OSU. I still don't get how the team we absolutely curbstomped earlier this year is in a position to win the division but I guess they must have gotten a lot better since then. That was the last game Penn State lost. I declared that they might not win another game all year after that embarrassment, but something clicked and they're rolling. Hopefully they don't poop the bed against Sparty

So I should just accept that should Penn State win the Big Ten and the B1G championship game, they will still be bypassed by OSU for the playoffs.

But is 2 more years, even at that age, for $12M a year really that big of a risk or a bad thing compared to 2/40? I'm pretty sure I'd rather 4/64 than 2/40. Esp since you can backload further on 4 years. That's why I never understand these let's go shorter term on a way inflated AAV ideas. Wouldn't you rather have a shorter (or majorly front loaded) deal knowing all your young stars have enormous paydays coming in 3-5 years? Why would you backload a contract?

I like him. He was great as the MC at Cubs Convention. Seems like he'd fit in well with the current crop of players as well
