well, to be fair he's still got under 300 MLB PAs but yeah the legendary 13 playoff games or whatever have kind of sealed that deal I'd say he's not a "star" yet. Certainly he is among Cubs fans, but it's going to take more for him to rise to that level (which he undoubtedly will) -

Baez just got hit by a pitch and I about died. Replay shows that it glanced off his forearm and hit the knob of the bat, so not bad at all, but.....ugh -
I usually go closer to chalk but decided to "call" some upsets, I just guessed the wrong ones.

Seriously. He's had the 2nd or 3rd most successful program in the Big Ten during his tenure (only MSU and maybe Wisconsin can compare) and a couple of down years and he's out? The big knock is that he's a great recruiter who sucks at developing players. So if he recruits a Conley or Oden or Russell, he's good. But if the recruits are less ready from the start, they never get better

One of the times I've seen the Cubs play the Nats in DC, my brother and I were sitting right above the LF corner and just mercilessly made fun of Ryan Church all night. We were basically the only people in the section, so it wasn't subtle at all. We were having a blast...until our mom yelled at us to "leave that nice Church man alone." THANKS A LOT, MOM; NOW RYAN CHURCH HAS THE UPPER HAND. My one and only bleacher game at Wrigley was against the Marlins and while Brad Penny was shagging fly balls during batting practice he was taking horsefeathers from everyone. It was fun, though, because he would give it right back
