  1. Yea, I mean, I dont think the show really cares about the places staying open. Its literally just for show. Such is every home renovation/decoration show on HGTV. It's a TV show first and foremost, and what the homeowner is left with after the live is almost inconsequential
  2. Can't believe he didn't break 5 ribs when they tossed him into that concrete
  3. I went to back-to-back games in 1998 where the Cubs beat Atlanta 4-2 on May 31st, and then destroyed Florida 10-2 on June 1, with Sammy hitting 2 HR's to start his 20 HR June. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN199805310.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN199806010.shtml My one and only game in the bleachers was a Mark Prior win against the Marlins. (can't find the boxscore) Worst game: a game against the Piazza/Mondesi/Karros Dodgers where the Cubs started Anthony Young and he promptly gave up a million home runs: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN199506170.shtml
  4. If I can finish out of the bottom five I'll consider it a championship season
  5. A - Cruz B - Rizzo, Donaldson C - Trout, Harper, A. Jones D - Calhoun, Gordon, Posey, Lindor, W, Contreras WC - PM'd
  6. I can't wait for the twist ending to this thread, where the Series clinching ground ball is #2, and #1 is Seal Boy going missing
  7. Demps is fass? /meph
  8. Should be noted that they did part with a 4th round pick, luckily a compensatory pick, and get a 2017 6th. Still a pretty good deal, but depending on how you value the discount on the 2018 pick and which trade chart you use, its more like they bought a mid 3rd to mid 4th rounder. Probably worth $16M, but not really a sustainable strategy either. Pretty intriguing deal though, a "NBA deal" for sure. Yep, basically Cleveland saying "give us something and we'll take the cap hit for you".
  9. Browns already talking about cutting/trading Osweiler. They basically bought a 2nd round pick
  10. It's nice to know that I won't need to waste any time or energy on this team next year.
  11. It's fun listening to local radio lose their minds over how awful the Buckeyes were this year
  12. I was a nervous wreck watching at home. I think if I had been at any WS games I would have been puking on my shoes
  13. its QB purgatory. Looking to free agency to fill your QB need is fruitless because good QBs don't become available in free agency. Your options are various temperatures of poop every year.
  14. I feel like there is a bucket full of context missing here Not if you know how to read a twitter thread. I think we've established that I don't.

  16. Man, those bathroom lines must have been crazy
  17. I agree and think they DO take him. I just used him because I have 3 definite defensive guys I'd take over Lattimore and that's all that's needed to not use a pick on him at 3, from my personal list. Garrett is the obvious pick, but the Browns have "smartest guy in the room" syndrome and will do something stupid
  18. If the Browns take anyone but Garrett they're nuts.
  19. and the NFL is littered with All-Pro's with crappy combine numbers. Ok? Not sure what your point is. No one is judging Lattimore by his time. Sounds like you're regurgitating platitudes you've overheard at the bars. Ah, your go-to line when you've got nothing more to say. The Combine is just a big show. All GM's actually care about is game tape and personal interviews. As long as the measurables are with the accepted ranges, the specifics are meaningless
  20. That home run swing was still....weird. He looked like he rolled by ankles on the swing. Maybe not as pronounced, but 2012 Heyward doesn't look that much different to me http://m.mlb.com/video/v24710295/atlmil-heyward-homers-into-the-second-deck-in-right/?query=jason+heyward+2012+home+run Again, tho, it's still my stance that none of us is qualified to comment on these things If the results are good, who cares (of course), but yeah, that 2012 clip was just a footwork mess.
  21. 40 times are an incredibly stupid way to judge players. Who cares how fast they can run in a straight line with no pads? Because generally, the faster they run in a straight line with no pads, the faster they play. and the NFL is littered with All-Pro's with crappy combine numbers.

  24. Andrew Bogut broke his leg after like 5 minutes of playing for the Cavs
