If we’re just wanting to mix things up, how about scrapping the “tiers” of players and changing it so everyone has to have a complete “team” of fielders? Three outfielders plus the five infielders and a DH. Then, when you make a transaction, it has to be for the same position. If Anthony Rizzo gets hurt, you can only replace him with another first baseman. The DH slot could have any position (like a flex position in fantasy football).

It’s the curse of Chief Wahoo. The faster they eliminate that logo from history, the better they’ll be. The fact that the fans are clinging to a symbol that is not only racist, but also associated with decades of misery and disappointment is something I’ll never understand -

one of said seasons was 4.8 war in 111 games and the other two were 3.0 in 147 games, and 3.5 in 159 games (where Fangraphs HATED his defense). He had his one 9.3 fWAR season, and hasn't been above 5 in any other season. He's a fun player who I would like to have, but he hasn't lived up to the hype. Any debate of Harper vs. Trout ended long ago
