  1. I'm not saying Almora is Ichiro, or that he will continue with those numbers. Though it is funny that you all predict his success against righties OR lefties on a really limited sample size (he has fewer than 500 career PA's against righties, and all of 267 against lefties). And now I've become the Almora defender, which I have no intention of being. Oh well, Go Cubs
  2. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is "it's been 60 degrees for the last 3 days, and you saying that the average temperature those days is 38 doesn't change the fact that it was 60 degrees the last 3 days" yes we get it. you're saying more things without saying anything. your MO. Well now you've hurt my feelings.
  3. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is "it's been 60 degrees for the last 3 days, and you saying that the average temperature those days is 38 doesn't change the fact that it was 60 degrees the last 3 days"
  4. He's been bad in general in July 864 OPS against lefties in July in how many PA's? And why use arbitrary data sets (calendar months)? Listen, I'm not arguing that Almora is great or even very good, but I'm tired of the "his good stats don't count because BABIP" refrain. I absolutely think he's going to end up with pedestrian numbers by season's end, but I don't discredit what he's done to this point
  5. Saying that the numbers predict a drop-off and that he has outproduced his peripherals can both be true He has a 506 OPS against righties in July. He's been bad in general in July
  6. What is his problem? He has owned the Cubs this series
  7. All of which is true, and yet, he has still produced Jesus christ, this again. Saying that the numbers predict a drop-off and that he has outproduced his peripherals can both be true
  8. To begin with, the .381 BABIP on 50% GBs and ~5% BB rate and ~20% K rate. All of which is true, and yet, he has still produced
  9. Duensing in a high leverage situation was perhaps a poor choice
  10. Drop Bryant, add Tamirez Drop Cespedes, add Aguilar
  11. Yes. That can only be done during the All Star Break. Thought so, I just whiffed on it
  12. Is it too late to change wildcards?
  13. So you’re saying he’s going 7 innings with 3 hits and 10 k’s today?
  14. We need to get some of that D’backs BABIP luck there you go
  15. he's been injured a ton Mostly his face, I'm assuming
  16. Has Buchholz been injured a ton? How does he have less than 200 career starts?
  17. Nothing like dipping into the pen early after playing five games in four days
  18. This awesome game thread deserves better than this
