  1. Because USC is ambiguous, so the votes get split. Sorry for the flippant answer, but is this a real question anyway? I know that OSU has a built in advantage by being OSU, but this year puts a fine point on how completely ratings-based these football rankings are. 6-0 Ohio State has a monumental advantage over 6-0 USC because reasons. They've also made it clear that a Group of Five team will NEVER make the playoff, as they keep dropping undefeated Cincinnati below one or two loss teams
  2. If OSU and USC win out, why is OSU a lock for the playoffs while USC isn't being considered at all?
  3. Down go the Gators
  4. So what's the plan if/when one of the final four teams breaks out in COVID come playoff time?
  5. OSU does t have the cajones to agree to that game
  6. The Contreras to Rays fit is one of the most obvious in the sport going back to last year at least, doesn't get much *national* play (good to see it today) but has been big in Rays media for a year+ now Allllls I'm asking for is Margot, Xavier Edwards, Josh Lowe, and Joe Ryan I read that Contreras to the Phillies is more likely, with the Rays doing Rays stuff (i.e. signing some mid-grade catchers on cheap one-year deals)
  7. They’ve both been a lot better lately.
  8. Cub on Eileen
  9. 85 wins would win you the division by 8 games
  10. Jets point diff is -173
  11. I mean, most ________ fans didn’t go to _________ school I mean the worst ones are the ones who never went to OSU. Reminds me of the old joke: what do Alabama and Auburn fans have in common? Neither went to Alabama.
  12. Ohio State fans are the same. They simply want to beat everyone by 5 touchdowns every week. They have no interest in the Michigan rivalry game being close or interesting. They just want to run up the score all the time and are dissatisfied with anything less After living in Columbus for three years while attending OSU, I can tell you there is no worse set of fans in the country. It's not even really close. They don't even like Ohio State as much as they hate whoever they are playing that day. By and large, they are toxic horsefeathers, most of whom never went to OSU. It's not even a fun atmosphere on the campus on game day. They forced Kirk Herbstreit to move. That's how bad they are. I mean, most ________ fans didn’t go to _________ school

  14. Does this mean Kasper and Stone on radio?
  15. I hear Thom Brenneman is available
  16. I saw a comment elsewhere that he was unhappy with the three man booth? True or not, Marquee’s attempts to be clever have all been awful
  17. Maybe it was Len’s dream to work for a team with a 95 year old alcoholic manager Or maybe last year broke Len’s spirits as much as it broke ours
  18. New ownership is needed. Virginia and the rest of the McCaskeys are utter failures too. Honest question, how does a relatively hands off ownership affect a team being futile for most of the last 25 years? The Bears don’t have a good QB, they don’t have the coaching staff that could develop a good QB, they don’t have a FO that can hire the guys that could develop and coach a good QB, they don’t have executives that can hire the right FO that can hire a coaching staff that develops a good QB. But where does ownership fit in? Should they be more like Jerry Jones and be more involved, maybe clean house more frequently (like Ted Phillips) when it’s clear the team doesn’t have the right pieces? Maybe they should be building connections within the game and improving the image of the team? Maybe make changes like artificial turf at Solider Field so it’s not knows at the stadium where speed goes to die? These sound like I’m challenging your viewpoint and I’m not. I just always hear how the Bears need new ownership and I have a hard time figuring out why that would make the difference. I’m sure there are several reasons that I’m just not thinking of. I have no idea how involved they are on a day to day basis, but they do have a history of making personal relationships with coaches or front office people that probably buys those people extra time when they should be let go
  19. What game are you watching? At the time of that post, Mitch had dumped to the right flat 3 or 4 plays in a row
  20. Mitch starting, so it’s nothing but instant check downs to the flat. He doesn’t even look downfield
