  1. Griffey post-Seattle?
  2. He will either get traded or he’ll retire. I’d be absolutely shocked if he’s the GB QB come September
  3. STL (2001-2011) .328/.420/.617/1.037 170 OPS+ 445 HR, 1328 RBI, 2073 H, 455 2B, 975 BB, 704 K's 81.3 fWAR LAA (2012-2021) .256/.311/.447/.758 108 OPS+ 222 HR, 783 RBI, 1180 H, 214 2B, 359 BB, 613 K's 5.7 fWAR That disparity is huge, but his career stat line is just mind-blowing CAREER (2001-present) .298/.376/.545.921 145 OPS+ 667 HR 2112 RBI 3253 H 669 2B 1334 BB 1317 K's 87.0 fWAR
  4. The contrast between his Cardinal years and his Angels years is almost unbelievable.
  5. Good job, now don't horsefeathers the bed against the PIrates
  6. This is why baseball takes forever. Stupid pitcher won't throw a pitch
  7. A nice walkoff HBP would be hilarious
  8. I know, right? the cubs, for instance, ALWAYS get a guy in from 3rd with less than 2 outs. So you're saying they should try to get them in from 2nd instead? Seems likely
  9. You think the road team should do that? im mildly surprised when the home team doesnt do it when its still tied but im sure they gamed it out and have determined theyd rather take 3 chances of hitting a single instead of 1 chance to get a sac fly and 1 chance at a single Right, I'm sure the stats say that there is a 2.7% better chance of doing that
  10. I don't understand why every team doesn't just bunt with the first guy and then hope to (at least) hit a sac fly or grounder to the right to get the run in
  11. If we had 9 Matt Duffy's in the lineup, we'd be up 20-2
  12. Wrong. Reverse jinx...works every time
  13. Growing up, the Warren Moons or the Randall Cunningham’s of the league were the rare exception, as the QB role was overwhelmingly white. But that has shifted so much over the past 20 years that it’s kinda crazy that a team with so much QB turnover hasn’t accidentally started a black QB a few times. It’s not like we’ve had a Brady or Rodgers filling the spot for 15+ years...
  14. I know the thread title was changed in jest, but it's a little jarring to look back and see that outside of one start by Jason Campbell in 2012, the Bears haven't actually had a black starting QB since Kordell Stewart in 2003.
  15. Cue Cubs losing three of the next four. We're absolutely losing the Pirates series
