    This schedule is interesting. Everything is 2-game series (with nights off) to limit travel, but sometimes you have home-and-home series so you end up playing the same team four times in a row

    I've long since accepted the playoff is getting bigger, but if people think that after that happens, the best CFB recruits are going to start spreading to all the different schools, in defiance of every single scintilla of evidence in the history of the sport, they'll be disappointed. Oh, I have no illusion that an 8 team playoff changes the recruiting dynamics. That ship has sailed. MAYBE if/when Saban retires, Alabama will fall back to the pack in the SEC a bit, and I don't know what happens to Clemson if Sweeney goes away, but Ohio State didn't miss a step going from Meyer to Day

    The cycle of no competitiveness in CFB is just perpetuated when the same 3-4 teams get all the best recruits because they're always in the playoffs, and round and round we go
