  1. cry Leinart! cry cry cry! aw, he's not even at his table anymore. good thing sportscenter followed the "not top 10" pick around all week
  2. interestingly, I was listening to the pre-draft coverage on ESPNRadio and Mike and Mike predicted that Leinart would be the Rodgers/Roethlisberger of the 2006 draft (as far as falling way lower than expected)
  3. I think if Oakland takes Jay Cuttler we may just see Leinart cry on national TV
  4. Matt Leinart is now looking at #7 OAK, #10 ARZ, #11 STL or #17 MIN. Talk about a nightmare day for you and your paycheck!
  5. I'm sort of curious how a team can sign a player pre-draft when they don't have the rights to the player yet. Is it only the team with the #1 overall pick who can do this?
  6. If Williams is a bust, this move may end up being compared to the Sam Bowie (sp?) pick in '84
  7. I love draft day, even if only one PSU player is projected to go on the first day (Tamba Hali, late 1st/early 2nd round). Michael Robinson and the rest are all 2nd day guys if not free agents...
  8. The NFL simply needs to impose a rookie salary cap (a la the NBA) and we'll never have to suffer through another hold out, outrageous salary demand or other such nonsense from newly drafted rookies. Get it done NFL!
  9. For some weird reason, it seems like the folks I know who drive stoned are better drivers than normal people Yes, and a friend of mine can make 100 straight three-pointers when he's high but it doesn't mean we should advocate NBA players toking a bong before every game (well.....any more than they already do  )
  10. Nothing personal, but I just don't like this. This is the same argument that says "Athlete X isn't nearly as good as he was in his prime, he should hang it up. Every day he keeps playing is a joke." If you were one of the best ever to do whatever it is you do...and you loved doing it...and you made more money than you could ever dream to spend doing it - what right do I have to tell you when to stop? If the Stones love playing music and people keep buying albums and tickets, good for them. The fact that "Rough Justice" is a horrible song that makes me want to cut my ears off doesn't make "Sympathy for the Devil" any less great. The Stones are one of the greatest bands of all time. Whatever crap they put out over the last 30 years doesn't change that. my beef isn't with 60 year olds still touring (I would have paid a lot of money to see David Gilmour play on his current tour). My beef is with crappy bands that I hate still touring when they are 60
  11. true Sidney Ponson also has a winning record. Sample size
  12. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin' as of yesterday, the Cubs were on pace for a 99-63 record. I'm not sure what the math is now
  13. FYI, Cubs are on pace to win over 100 games. Just sayin...
  14. is that a record for # of "whew" posts in a row?
  15. why? Sorry, i've been out of town and not connecte3d to the day to day happenings of the team. Whose spot is he filling? Williams?
  16. The Rolling Stones are an abomination. The first post says it all. How can the (self proclaimed) "Greatest Rock N' Roll Band of All Time" have such craptacular record sales? Because they suck. They should have quit 30 years ago and every day they continue to tour is a bigger and bigger joke.
  17. Money talks. He paid Jones and Rusch big bucks to play, he's not going to give up on them with 140+ games left in the season
  18. does anyone else cringe EVERY time pujols starts swinging at a pitch?
  19. it really is a coin flip as to which glendon will show up each day, isn't it?
  20. i'm up to 40....11 of those being Pujols and 7 each for Ortiz and Delgado. Needless to say some of my guys aren't pulling their weight...
  21. does it make anyone feel any better that we would have lost last night with or without Lee in the lineup? No, me either.
