someone big. Aldridge, Davis, that type.
  2. Very funny, but why did you say NSFW? Ballpark_Frank uses a little language, but that's all I could see. Yeah, I didn't click on it at work because of the tag -- but then got home and wondered why I waited. No biggie though. many of the other "chats" have strong language so i figured better safe than sorry
  3. Dude, its been over a year. When can we give it a rest? dude, Willis was traded 3 years ago and people still won't shut up about it

I don't want athletes with potential. I want ball players with proven skills Dusty is that you?  i'm serious though. I don't want 15 Eddie Robinson's on my team. I couldn't care less if they can jump 7 feet in the air or are super fast. I want guys who can hit the 15' jumper and sink their free throws and make the extra pass.
  5. who, this guy? http://www.covers.com/images/2006/180x180/morrison_adam060319.jpg
  6. what's the deadline? Don't they have like 2 weeks?
  7. I was thinking a 3-headed coaching monster of Calbert Cheaney, Alan Henderson and Jim Jackson. The Jim Jackson that went to Ohio State? He would mostly do scouting.....of, um, Ohio state......
  8. BTW, to compare Dusty to Bobby Cox in an attempt to make him look good is sort of a joke, as Cox has mismanaged his way through more postseasons than Dusty has. Both are kings of regular season success and postseason failure.
  9. the word is apart, not a part /end picking apart minor section of post Dude, the guy is from Korea, English might not be his first language. Cut him some slack. Just poking fun. I didn't actually read the whole thread. If English isn't his first language, it's pretty damn good. I talk to many Americans online who can barely spell their name.
  10. that is truly sad
  11. This weekend will be about watching good college basketball, but I'll also be scouting out possible future Bulls. I want a better look at Aldridge, etc.
  12. requoted for emphasis
  13. So Ponson has officially won the job, right? I thought I read that today.

  15. IMO, he hasn't earn the job, simply because this is a small sample size in SPRING TRAINING (scrubs supreme). Marshall has given Baker/Hendry a good impression about what he can do (and Marshall has leapfrogged Hill as the first pitcher to be call up during the season), but Sean still needs at least a strong half yr at AAA before he is ready. If he needs half a year at AAA, he might not be ahead of Hill. Last I read, Marshall was likely headed back to AA to start the season. That might change though if he keeps performing like he has. I still think it is too early to say who is ahead of who to be the 5th starter or the first one called up. But even if Marshall is at AA and Hill is at AAA, I don't think it will matter much who is at the higher level. The Cubs decision will likely be based on who they think is throwing better at the time. A lot can (and will) happen in the next 3+weeks, so this decision is impossible right now. Marshall's arm might fall off on April 13th.
  16. Good. I have UCLA in the Final Four Not sure how that's good, Jordan is UCLA's second best player and starting point guard. There are major questions in regards to his shooting ability right now with the injured wrists. Morrison should be ok by tomorrow evening or close enough that it's not that big a cocnern. didn't know how serious Farmar's wrists were. Either way, go Bruins!

  18. Hilarious (but NSFW language)

  20. Thursday's games: Duke vs. LSU - 7:10pm Memphis vs Bradley - 7:27pm West Virginia vs Texas - 9:40pm Gonzaga vs UCLA - 9:57pm Friday's Games: Villanova vs Boston College - 7:10pm George Mason vs Wichita St. - 7:27pm Florida vs Georgetown - 9:40pm UConn vs Washington - 9:57pm CBS' desire to have all games in primetime is infuriating. No reason not to let people see all 4 games in one day. Now we have to suffer the constant game flipping, plus those of us in the Easter time zone have 1/2 the games start at nearly 10pm. Oh well, still looking forward to it.
  21. If back-to-back winning seasons is enough to make you happy, rock on then. Notice he failed to make it 3 in a row despite a triple crown candidate on the team.
  22. Yep. It's your "50 total HR" outfield for 2006! Feel that warning track power!
