  1. it really is a coin flip as to which glendon will show up each day, isn't it?
  2. i'm up to 40....11 of those being Pujols and 7 each for Ortiz and Delgado. Needless to say some of my guys aren't pulling their weight...
  3. does it make anyone feel any better that we would have lost last night with or without Lee in the lineup? No, me either.
  4. ...I agree. How can anyone have so many posts without a lot of them being worthless? Like this one. good
  5. I agree with you that you can not paint a broad picture of all marijuana users. That is why i used my friends as examples to prove the misconception wrong. As for being addictive, if marijuana really is physically addictive (which we don't know due to a lack of research), its effects have to be less than alcohol and probally tobacco as well. I do not buy into psychological addictions. Anything think can be psychological addictive, that has to do with the user not the drug by psychological i meant withdrawl can lead to depression, mild scizophrenia, etc. (vs other physical withdrawl symptoms like shaking, headaches or chest pains) and the example of your friends doesn't prove the misconception wrong. It just provides one possible outcome of it's use. There are many many people who do become your classic stoner/dropouts, thus that stereotype isn't actually a misconception (though thinking EVERYONE turns out that way is)
  6. I think that has to do with the purging of posts that went on. It kept all of the post counts, but in the total number of posts it got cut. so the purging of posts modified the % but npt the total post count? i see...
  7. confirmed. I got to just Member #25 when I hit over 100% of "total posts". Clearly the database is miscounting. I mean I know that JonMDavis has a lot of posts, but it says he accounts for nearly 10% of the total posts on the board!
  8. I know that the post count of our membership is heavily skewed at the top, but I just looked at the top 20 posters and according to the site stats, those 20 people are accountable for 85.19% of the total posts on this board. Can that be true? I have a feeling that if I counted up the 2nd page (21-40) of members that I would quickly surpass 100%...
  9. You can give an example of your friends, i can give an example of friends who started smoking pot and turned from bright and eager honor roll students to groggy, lazy burnouts. You can't paint a broad picture of how marijuana effects everyone. Like any other drug, the user's personality and chemical makeup play a large factor in how the drug will affect them. For example, many argue that pot is completely non-addictive, while many studies show severe physical and psychological effects of quitting a strong marijuana habit.
  10. nice friends
  11. Comparing the NSBB moderators to the Cubs.com moderators is like dividing a number by 0. The calculation would make the internet blow up
  12. A Marlin routine grounder to short and Alex Gonzalez's ham fist.
  13. They probably have better stuff. But it wouldn't have to be government stuff, just government regulated. Ah, I gotcha, so business owners could grow whatever they want. Sort of, but it would all have to be approved by FDA standards, etc. It would then probably be taxed like crazy and cost way more per "pack" than cigarettes
  14. He'd get ticked at Cedeno every time he had to scoop a throw out of the dirt... :P wouldn't you?
  15. The inaugural State College Spikes promotional schedule just came out, and it FEATURES a string of "Retro Celebrity" nights sporting the likes of Jimmy "JJ" Walker, Jerry Mathers, and the guy who played Doc on the Love Boat. This is supposed to sell tickets how?
  16. and if you smoke that paper...... \:D/
  17. Before Sean Casey's spine exploded Wilson was begging to get into the lineup and Jim Tracy was reluctant to pencil him in (despite Wilson hitting like 3 homers per at -bat). Now with Casey on the shelf Wilson is suddenly way more valuable and harder to get.
  18. Not sure what you mean by the latter comment, NJ had the 3 seed already by virtue of winning the Atlantic. I know about NJ winning their division, it's just ridiculous that the Cavs(or any other team) are precluded from getting the 2 or 3 seed just because they have the best team in basketball. They finished with a better record, they deserve the seed. Or how bout the Clippers getting home court advantage as a lower seed?
  19. looks like cancelling my ExtraInnings package was a good move this year
  20. What if you hate cole slaw? don't worry, the cole slaw can't be tasted due to the 136 other ingredients on the sandwich
  21. Just you wait, my youth movement strategy (Bay, Wright, Cantu, Gomes) will pay off. no, no....when Fielder, Beltre and Helton all break the record for most HR in a month in July, then who will be laughing? Haha, yeah Beltre is really showing signs of breaking out. What's he got this year, one extra base hit? it's one more than you have!
