  1. who be sinatro and strode?
  2. yep, 2. NYPL and NWL. I'm down for blogging on those....wouldn't even have to start until mid June :)
  3. You can put me down to blog about at least the NYPL, and would be happy to take on other assignments. Maybe all the Short-A leagues? There's only 2 or 3, right?
  4. what is the fee for having a blog?
  5. These days, those qualities win you sports Emmys
  6. I would have no problem giving the blog ad money back to the site. Maybe for a Premium Membership in return? Or not, it's up to Tim. As I said, I volunteer to write about the NYPL if there is interest.
  7. I'm guessing he won't say anything at all useful. It's not in the team's best interest if he talks about players he wants, etc. I'm sure Hendry told him to say he's excited about the challenge, blah, blah, blah
  8. It truly is amazing how the media has created this national love affair with a player who, plainly put, is no [expletive] good. Why? Cuz he's short? I mean, I guess short NBA players get some special attention, but not if they're averaging 2 points and an assist a game.
  9. The database would have all players (for various reasons), so there would be no need to restrict the input to just the Cubs system. cool, so there's room for contributions for those of us stranded in non-Cubs territory
  10. Would all of these new tools be restricted just to the Cubs and their farm systems, or would you want content added from all teams? For example, I live in a town with a NYPL team. The Cubs don't have a team in the NYPL, but perhaps people would be interested in scouting/transactions/blog reports on the league, especially those interested in tracking the newest draftees each year.
  11. at least the Dugout is on the case with some rain delay hilarity
  12. bet he was scuffing the ball And rubbing pine tar all over it. The Dugout agrees
  13. We're still waiting. What was this thing of value Hendry got in return for Maddux? He got a magic glove that can drive in RUNS!!! | | | | V
  14. I have no problem admitting that the pass interference call was bad in the Minnesota game. Bad on the replay. I thought it was intereference when the play happened live. The angle the ref had might have seemed that way too. But definitely not a penalty on further review.
  15. THE CUBS??!! Ban him! :P Who brought up the 2002 'Luckeyes', damn you. Throughout the whole year i thought they were so overrated. The purdue game was the game that put me over the edge. I forgot about the Illini and Cincy game and right now cant remember the UM/OSU game so dont remind me, im sure to shake my head and say 'yup wtf' if you do. I remember that year. I remember the Tony Johnson catch against UM with two feet in bounds, putting Penn State in field goal range with like 25 seconds left... but it was called out and Penn State had to punt. I'm not still bitter at all. especially when in college you only need one foot in bounds. Someday the NCAA will take the Big 10 officials off of the Michigan payroll
  16. YOUR FAVORITE TEAM SUCKS
  17. so is it Cy Carpenter or Cy Suppan going in Game 3?
  18. No, an opening kickoff return for a TD ought to do it. The Lions couldn't score in a Singapore whore house Purdue's defense is bad, even Penn State will be able to put up some points on them. But, Purdue has a good offense and PSU won't be able to shut them down the way they could shut down Northwestern or teams like that. For the first time this year (finally) the local paper started questioning the team's play calling. As they put it "why buy a Ferrari if you don't take it out of the garage once in awhile." If you are so high on Morelli's ability to throw the ball 60 yards, quit throwing WR screens and HB swing routes. Oh, and don't run the ball up the middle 30 times a game. yeah... what time is the game? I'm probably just going to sleep through it - I am not in the mood to watch Penn State lose this week. I think it's noon on ABC
  19. I feel bad for Pat. Talk about a situation not of your own making

  21. I have no problem allowing Mark Lemke out of his job at my car wash to sit on the bench.

  23. True road test for PSU this week at Purdue. The Lions looked horrible against the Illini ("Lousy" was the word Paterno used over and over) and with two road games coming up (Purdue and Wisconsin), we'll see what the team is made of. This could be an 8-4 team. This could be a 6-6 team. Depends on whether the team gets its act together or not. Seems to me that the team is just not getting any better week to week. Not sure what's up.
  24. Who's Billy Beane? Who's Mark Buehrle?
