    balancing single player development with overall winning strategy is tough. lou seems to think that pie is helping the club win with his current role.

    my fear with Lou's bullpen shenanigans is that other managers will use it to their advantage. they know he wants 7 relievers (while they, in turn, probably have a 6 deep bench) so they can afford to burn a pinch hitter just to make lou make another pitching move. The bullpen has been a little too walky at times, but as jersey/goony pointed out, their overall K/BB has been good

    Cubs tied it in the bottom of the 9th on a Floyd single (Marquis pinch run), Ward single, and Theriot single. Cubs had winning run on 3rd with 1 out in the 10th but couldn't score. Cubs win in the 11th on a Murton double, Blanco single, Ward single :-s Cubs won in 10. yeah, well, yeah

    it's based in D.C. , but we have one here in State College. It's right down the street from where I work

    color me jealous you can go to Five Brothers. I bet it's just as good In N Out is a little better IMO, but Five Guys is a very tasty burger too. i never get that right. but yeah, cheap and tasty is a good combo for a burger joint. that place is always CROWDED though. I'll go more in the summer
