    I wonder how they are going to get around the collective bargining agreement? I'm pretty sure they are not supposed to play for more than 21 days in a row without a break. Anyway, this is good news for the Brewers. maybe there are caveats for makeup games. either way, this further points towards how broken the scheduling is. not to sound too "olde thyme", but having some scheduled Sunday doubleheaders would create more off days and make this situation less of a struggle

    as a resident of the Eastern Time Zone, I have to say that west coast night games suck butt

    Week 1 is going to be blowout city for Penn State (FIU will be destroyed), so that's anti-climactic. Weekend of the 8th will be awesome: PSU vs. ND on saturday and Bears vs. Chargers on Sunday (assuming it will be aired here, which is no guarantee)

    If you throw good pitches to Ramirez, those pitches end up 450 feet away. no, if you throw bad pitches to Ramirez they end up 450 feet away. it's possible to throw good pitches for strikes

    1. they moved Zambrano up to Thursday with Marshall pitching Friday 2. There is Monday plus one day in September where both teams have a scheduled off day

I feel that further acquisitions are needed to make this a truly impressive team with some longevity. well, barring trades, the following players are here for at least the next 2 seasons ('08 and '09) Lee Ramirez Soriano Ramirez Murton Pie Theriot Fontenot Zambrano Marquis Lilly Hill Marshall Marmol if you can add another bat (RF or C) you're in decent shape.

    To be fair, Gaetti had a good season with the Cubs, and was pretty good during his Twins days. yeah, i posted that thinking the original thread was just ex-cubs. he probably doesn't belong and really, gaetti had a good 1/2 season. 1999 was horrible

    I dont think that Matt Morris is very fair to add to that list. He sucks not cause he is old and has no arm left. But his first 6 years he had ERA+ of 130, 166, 130,137,114, and 111. So he was a pretty good pitcher his first 6 years in the league. yeah, all with the Cardinals. since he's left the cardinals, he's sucked
