  1. 6 of the last 7 Heisman winners have been QB's. The only non-QB to win was Reggie Bush in 2005. and of those 6, one (Palmer) has a real career in the NFL while a second (Leinart) may do well. Weinke, Crouch, White and Smith...ha ha ha the best part is that you would cut off your own leg to have any of those four at the end there quarterbacking for Penn State QB is not usually a strong point at this program, this is true. blame Paterno for that. he doesn't really like them. If he could find a RB who could throw, he'd probably just direct snap it to him every down and pass it only when necessary
  2. i can see them taking KU over Missouri, if only because the "two losses vs. one loss" mentality will be in full effect
  3. and Scott Brosius is a true Yankee!
  4. You're being sarcastic, right? This year's draft is supposed to be totally stacked at the lottery positions. less sarcastic than ignorant I guess. is the assumption that all the freshmen this year (Gordon, Mayo, etc.) will come out? Yes Gordon Rose Mayo Love Beasley etc... seeing how much my two teams suck (DePaul/PSU) I haven't paid a ton of attention to those guys. I usually don't know about the "big names" until tourney time This draft is going to be very talented if all the freshman leave. Ive already said I would prefer the Bulls to tank the rest of the season to get a high draft pick because these kids coming out will be better than anybody on our roster. who are the big men coming out (besides Hibbert, who the jury is out on)?

  6. maybe Tim needs to register IlliniHatesHoosiers.com
  7. it would be the first time ever a team finished 16 games out of first in the NFL
  8. if just being at an airport counts, I've been to Germany. if landing at an airport but not leaving the plane before taking off again counts, I've been to Dallas and Los Angeles

  10. wins don't matter, write Meph?

  12. i don't really want another lottery pick. the draft won't be as deep this year in all likelihood. i want my superstar
  13. I'm shocked by how things have started out for you guys. I thought PSU had an outside shot at a tourney berth before the season started. Can you at least win your Big 10/ACC Challenge game? well, penn state just got done losing to south carolina, rider and ucf, teams that were ranked (roughly) 110, 194 and 119 last year, so you can probably answer that question yourself but they'll play VaTech in front of 2000 fans at the BJC!
  14. you don't like PSU over VaTech?
  15. if he stays healthy all year, someone will pony big bucks for him to start next year.
  16. Miami will find a win somehow
  17. yeah, i know it's a fantasy, but that's because the system is so broken
  18. Duke v. Wisconsin tomorrow night. Should be an interesting matchup. Its at Duke, so I fully expect Duke to win. However, I think the Badgers will make it a good fight. Badgers have great size and I've been impressed with their guard play. Is Duke bringing their own refs for the game too? Watch out if they do. they have them in house since they never play non-con outside of Cameron
  19. i think it was 2 years for 5million total, not per year
  20. I think there are 2 major stumbling blocks. The NBC TV package and some joint academic stuff that may be against Notre Dame's beliefs. I think the Big Ten would take them in a heartbeat, but they want to TV money shared. I am sure the academic stuff could be worked out if the NBC thing got worked out. there is zero financial incentive for ND to join a conference. PSU only joined because they needed a conference to prop up the 26 non-football sports programs There will be when their football program continues to suck for the next ten years. i don't foresee NBC pulling out of that deal anytime soon

  22. And Penn State shouldn't be in the Big 10. because they should be in the Big East instead?
  23. the best scenario would be: - all 6 BCS conferences expand to 12 teams - all play 12 game schedules, with 10 conf games, a home/away non-con, and one bye week - all have title games - NCAA controls scheduling, pairing up BCS conferences for two year, home/home series based on previous year's rank in the conferences (e.g., if next year began the two-years of SEC vs. Big 10, the schedule would have OSU play LSU in a home/home, UGA play UofI, etc.)
