  11. i picked Duke to win in my bracket but would like to see them lose
  12. it matters in terms of giving more plate appearances to crappy players and less to good players
  13. http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/03/22/as-expected-it-s-sheets-in-the-opener.aspx Z-Sheets Lilly-Suppan Lieber-??? I thought Dempster was the #3 with Lieber or Marquis the #5
  14. That's a little misleading because up until recently, I believe, each region had the top 1/2 of it's bracket one place and the other half somewhere else. Every site contained either a 1-16 or 2-15 matchup. It's obviously not gonna happen in those situations, as only 1 two seed has ever lost. This year, Tampa and Denver were the only sites where the lower seeds even had a shot to pull that off. Raleigh, Little Rock, Omaha, and Anaheim all had the 1-16 games. Birmingham and DC had two 2-15 matchups. maybe, but it wasn't 8-9 matchups either. Tampa had two 5-12's and two 4-13's
  15. Are you in a different group than I am? Because I'm tied for dead last in the nsbb group with 19 out of 32. I have not picked 2 8/9 games right in 8 years. This year, I managed to miss all 4 of them. i'm in group # 20875
  16. Me=dead last in NSBB. 21 of 32. Ouch. Screwed the pooch on: Arkansas Oklahoma UNLV Villanova Siena Kansas St. Marquette Miami aTm W. Kentucky San Diego
  17. in case anyone missed it, Tampa was the first opening weekend site ever to see all 4 games won by lower seeds
  18. i had UConn and Vandy in the Sweet 16. Crap EDIT: and I'm dead last in the NSBB group
  19. He won 14 in 2003. Shhhhh, the truth doesn't matter in this thread. The point is, Wood is a sham and the Cubs are doomed. i figured i'd pull out 10 year old cliches about Wood, since that seems to be the thing to do in this thread
  20. well crap, I'm 2-2 in the early games today.
  21. god i love endings like that
  22.
  23. well, the incompetence could be tied to not going after Guerrero, Beltran, etc., and then settling for Soriano
