    What's their to understand? If they come to an agreement they won't run the risk of running out of time. They aren't free agents, but Miami is free to take any one of them. The rest of the team are not. just seems weird to do it before draft day. can they not announce it until Saturday?

    i don't get how a team can sign a guy pre-draft. these guys aren't free agents. yes, i know they have the first pick, but that doesn't guarantee anything (they run out of time, etc.)

    i could understand the outrage if the Cubs were playing Johnson and losing, but they're not, so chill

    baseball reference only has tOPS+ (not regular OPS+) in their splits. since OPS+ supposedly neutralizes park factors, i wonder how much closer someone like Greene's home/road OPS+ splits are than his regular OPS splits

    i'm most impressed with the Cubs' ability (so far) to paste the teams that are worse than them. how many years have we been frustrated by their seeming inability to "get up" for series against the crap teams, especially in our own division? i'll live with a .500 record against the Mets/Brewers/Phillies of the league if we're destroying the Bucs/Stros/Reds
