I feel like fans fall into two camps:
1. Make up trade offers that send fringe bench players/prospects for a star
or
2. Make up trade offers where it takes all 10 of your top 10 prospects to get a MOR pitcher for a rental
I'm curious what the hitting coach is telling/teaching Shaw. It feels like he's been up their guessing for a month. The times he has hit the ball hard feel more like "blind squirrel finds nut" than any specific mechanical fix or strike zone understanding
Yep. More teams are holding on to players on the off chance of a winning streak putting them into a wildcard spot, but also more teams looking to add than teams looking to sell
Blah blah RBI stats suck blah blah, BUT....it's cool that a year after only 16 players in MLB surpassed the 100 RBI mark, 4 Cubs are on pace to hit 100 this season.
The last season that ANY Cub had 100+ RBI was 2018
Yep. He probably thought this was a way to get away with it (oops, threw that in the dirt for ball 1!!) but there are so many watchdogs monitoring this stuff that you aren't going to get away with it
